Russ and Laura both grew up in the town of Onoway. Both attending the Onoway school, frequenting town events, and sharing the same small-town hangouts. To their knowledge, they never crossed paths.

It was the desire of each of their hearts to find love. To find a partner in this life that shared the same values and beliefs, someone who would accept, choose, and cherish them for the rest of their days.

While life took them in different directions, the desire of their heart remained the same. Russ and Laura had committed their deepest hopes and desires to the Lord, praying and trusting that God would bring them together in a way that only He could do.

And then ... suddenly ... in the Summer of 2024, a certain pastor and his wife took it upon themselves to do some match-making. Numbers were exchanged and Russ reached out to Laura. And in perfect answer to both of their prayers, they discovered an instant, and kindred connection. A soulmate connection orchestrated by Heaven. Within one month of meeting, the engagement ring was purchased. Russ proposed to Laura on September 25th on the archway bridge at Rotary Park. Wedding plans began to take shape. And now, 5 months and 4 days since the day they first met, we are blessed to celebrate their union in marriage and celebrate and worship our wonderful God who is the author of love.
