August 14th, 2020. Nine days after her birthday, Laura received the greatest gift of her life, a first date with Alex. The next six hours of bowling, dinner and conversation flew by, only stopping due to work obligations the next day. The next week Alex asked Laura to be his girlfriend on their third date.

Over the following months they spent increasing time together, with Laura only staying at her apartment twice a week, before moving in with Alex after six months. During this transitional stage of their relationship they realized how natural their lifestyles meshed and the increased time together only brought them closer.

Throughout their years together, career changes, the adoption of seven cats, college graduation and restarting schooling Alex and Laura have known they were meant to be together as soul mates. No challenge or hardship has shaken their love of one another.

During their annual trip to Apple Hill, on October 14th, 2023, Alex proposed with the help of Laura's lifelong friends Gaby and Marcela.
