At the risk of highlighting our ages, we met over a decade ago in a CrossFit gym doing some burpees and deadlifts. Very quickly, we formed a bond through our love of CrossFit. An obsession, some may say, but we loved it. We looked for every chance we could find to get better in our sport (aka indulge in our obsession). As the years progressed, we became training partners and competition partners. We rarely missed a chance to compete together. The bond we formed became unbreakable. Fitness saved both of us, in a way, and this is something we shared that was both sacred and unspoken. Throughout that time, we were lucky to call one another "my best friend." We saw each other through the many ups and downs of life and used fitness together as our outlet. Through our friendship, we shared much more than fitness. We shared a deep passion for music and concerts, sharing music new and old. Much like competitions, we are now hard pressed to miss one of our favorite bands performing. Eventually, the stars aligned and we realized that perhaps spending your life with your best friend, who happens to also be what we believe is a soulmate, is pretty cool. We decided to live life together on our terms, in our own way, pursuing happiness, freedom, Great Danes, music, fitness, and adventures. We feel lucky to be among the rare few who can truly say that they've ended up with their soulmate-their one true love-and, their best friend.
