Andy & Laura met at the Nittany Antique Machinery Show in Fall of 2001. They are both passionate about old traditions and how things used to be done.
Over the years, Andy became close to the Clouser family, often spending time with them at the farm outside of shows. While Andy and Laura knew each other, they lived very separate lives.
The shows were always a fun time! Both began volunteering with threshing and baling, run by Andy's family. Soon Andy was ready for a bigger challenge and moved to the steam engines. Laura and her Mom did threshing every weekend of the Fall Show for about 20 years. Laura enjoyed this, but was ready for more involvement and was always intrigued by the steam engines. Soon Laura found herself neck-deep in coal and soot, learning the ways of the steam engines. She was hooked!
Fall 2022, Andy and Laura worked closely with the engines, but there was more than steam in the air. By mid-October they were in conversation daily and Andy asked Laura out on a date...October 22, 2022.
Since then, their love has grown tremendously! They've weathered many storms together, shared beautiful memories, and are so excited to spend their lives together!
God's timing is always the best!
