We would like to say we are true high school sweethearts. Our very first dance we shared was back in 8th grade at the E.D. White Junior High Dance. It was our first real interaction. Now, we may have been too shy to say more than a word (and definitely kept an arm’s length apart), but even then, there was a spark.

Although nothing came of that single, awkward slow dance, something about that night stuck with us. Fast forward to junior year of high school, we found ourselves talking again, and this time things clicked. Our very first date started off at Sonic (because where else would you go in high school?) and ended with a slow dance on top of the hospital parking garage. From that night on, we became best friends, and before long, we were inseparable.

After graduation, life tested us with long distance. We were living five whole hours apart! Thanks to late-night calls, weekend road trips, and a lot of gas station snacks, we made it work. A year later, we traded the miles for minutes apart at LSU. Those three years together were both a dream and proof that we were meant to be.

Now, after college, we’re chasing our professional goals while enjoying life back at home. On August 16th, at Houmas House in Darrow, Louisiana, we got engaged, and it was the easiest “yes” ever.

Since then, we’ve been having a blast planning this wedding and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you as we begin the next chapter of our lives together.
