Our Wedding

Our story begins on New Year’s Eve 2022 when fate would intervene in the form of 4 special people in our lives. Laura’s cousin Alanzo and his now wife Hilary, were on their way to meet with their friends Tim and Jackie. Tim just happens to be Mike’s best friend from high school. Alanzo and Mike had known each other through Tim for a few years and would see each other from time to time. On the drive to the New Years Eve event, Alanzo questioned if Mike would be at the event. In doing so, for some reason Laura came to mind as someone who might be a good match for him. When Alanzo and Hilary got there, they decided to play Cupid and mention the idea of setting up Mike and Laura to Tim and Jackie. They decided to go for it and each reached out to their counterparts. Both Mike and Laura were willing to take a chance and meet one another for an “old fashioned” set up. It was somewhat of a blind date haha. The plan was to meet for a triple date and take a Duffy boat ride in New Port Beach. This brings us to January 28, 2023. Despite both being nervous, the group hang out went well, so Mike decided to ask Laura out on their own for a “real” first date. They went out a week later on February 2, 2023 for a hockey game at the Ontario Reign. Something just felt right and Mike and Laura seemed to connect more and more. March 6, 2023, Mike asked Laura to be his official girlfriend. They had a wonderful first year of dating and falling in love, as well as blending their families and friends together. Mike and Laura knew they were each others’ future and were ready for the next chapter. April 13, 2024, Mike proposed to Laura at the Griffith Observatory. Of course, she said YES! Their engagement chapter went into full swing and has been a whirlwind. Mike and Laura are so excited to get married a year after the proposal and start their forever as husband and wife. We are so grateful and blessed to have been placed in each others lives. We share our love and happiness with all of our family and friends and are humbled by your unwavering support. We cant wait to celebrate with you! &lt;3
