Our Wedding

Life and love happen without plans, without effort, and with those who are meant to find it. Ben and Laura were friends before they began to date. They met the old fashioned way, without the aid of apps or online awkwardness. Several of their friends said they should date and worked hard to set them up. The dark days of the pandemic led Ben to Korea with the military and Laura to consider moving to Wisconsin. Both had given up on the idea of love and become frustrated with losses as well as San Antonio. Nature conspired against them and serendipity led to a broken arm in snowy Milwaukee and a return military assignment in San Antonio. When stars collide it lights up the heavens, and when Ben and Laura began dating and fell in love the world definitely got a little brighter. Laura lived a stones throw from Boerne but had never bothered visiting this gem of town. Ben took Laura to Boerne on their first date, where they wandered the streets, ate a fantastic meal and could not stop talking. The Kendall in Boerne was the location of their very first anniversary as well as many other dates. Their love story grew within this small hill country town that they later decided to be married in. When Edith Piaf sang "La Vie En Rose" they like to think she was inspired by a love like theirs. The date of the wedding was decided shortly after their engagement, symbolic of when two will become one. 11-22-25 will be a date to be remembered!

Valeria is Laura's first niece. The two developed a special bond from the time Valeria was born. Valeria is everything to Laura, she's her baby, her best friend, her little sister, her niece. And she is now the mother to beautiful Ellie!

Brian and Ben became friends in 2012 when they were stationed at the same location and in the same Army residency in Hawaii. As AEGD-2 dental residents and friends stationed in Germany they studied, took, and passed the American Board of General Dentistry exam together. Nothing brings two people together like shared trauma! They have since been stationed at the same location multiple times, deepening their friendship. Brian and his wife Iary played important roles in Laura's and Ben's relationship.

We really liked this place. It's right across the river, there's a super cute brunch spot that's perfect for all day hangout. The place has a cozy, stylish vibe. Definitely try their mimosas, they're fresh, flavorful and just the right amount of bubbly. And if you're into coffee, their craft brews are seriously good, our favorite...cappuccino with oat milk!They have classic brunch dishes or if you like something a little more creative, they've got it.
