We are so excited to celebrate and have a fun-filled wedding weekend with you all! To start off the festivities on Friday afternoon, we're having a welcome party at Humble Sea, our favorite brewery. On Saturday we'll have our wedding ceremony, dinner, and dancing in the backyard and garden of HOME, a local farm to table restaurant. Getting to Santa Cruz County

Santa Cruz County is accessible by car via Highway 17 through the Santa Cruz Mountains, or via California’s scenic Highway 1. The nearest major airport is&nbsp;<a href="https://www.flysanjose.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">San Jose Mineta International Airport</a>,&nbsp;30 miles/48&nbsp;km northeast of Santa Cruz.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.flysfo.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">San Francisco International Airport</a>&nbsp;is approximately 60 miles/96 km north of Santa Cruz, and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.oaklandairport.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Oakland International Airport</a>&nbsp;is approximately 65 miles/104 km north of Santa Cruz. Dress code: Backyard dinner party

Our ceremony and reception will be in the <a href="https://www.homesoquel.com/events-1" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">backyard and garden of HOME Soquel restaurant</a>. It will be a festive, fun atmosphere and we’re asking people to wear their favorite vivid hues in light, and airy fabric for dancing the night away! Think sundresses and sandals for the women and slacks/khakis, button downs, and sport coats for men.&nbsp;We recommend bringing an extra layer to keep warm when the sun goes down. Ladies, there is a mix of mulch, grass, and concrete surfaces in the backyard, so please plan accordingly for footwear. Here are some festive color and outfit inspirations:&nbsp;

Welcome Party Attire

On Friday, we'll have a welcome party in the private garden of our favorite brewery, <a href="https://humblesea.com/pages/private-events" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Humble Sea.</a> This will be a more casual atmosphere than Saturday night. We recommend casual sundresses for women and jeans/slacks and button downs for men. Like our wedding, the more colorful and festive, the better!

Central Coast weather

October is our favorite time of year on the California coast! It's typically warm as long as the sun is shining and then gets to be cool when the sun goes down. Average temperatures: High 73° / Low 49°. Our welcome party, wedding, and reception will be outdoors. There will be outdoor heaters, but we highly recommend bringing a jacket.
