Scott and I have known each other since about 2016. He was that friendly vendor that you chat with between tasks at work. He always treated me with respect and courtesy. When my late husband, Keith Hubbard, was killed tragically in 2022, many people reached out with love. Scott was one of those people who gave me their number. I remember he said if you ever need anything or just to talk, I'll answer. Who knew I would need that sooner than I thought? One night, we went for drinks and talked about life. Texted and chatted daily. The next thing I knew, this friendship bloomed into where we are today. Scott is always patient and kind, knowing what I have gone through. He has always allowed me to keep Keith's memory alive through all of this. Just like this website he said whatever makes you happy. This is my way of memorializing a wonderful man and showing love to another. This story may seem odd to some but it’s all ours.

We wanted to wait for me to meet Scott's kids. I know how I get attached to little ones, and I didn't want to confuse them. But it was like they were always a part of my life. We were meant to be in each other's lives. Bentley and Bryleigh showed me so much love. Many adventures were had during those first few months.

With so much pain and anger about Keith's death, Scott thought it would be a great idea to channel that into something positive. He encouraged me to join Williford FD, where he is the Chief. This being something I always wanted to do; this time I knew I was in good hands.

The Copper River Bridge run was a blast. It was Scott's first time running a 10k. He did great. What an accomplishment for both of us.
