Steve and Laura met in November, 2013, when their best friends decided they should meet. We had a "best friends" Friday night outing, and little did we know it would be the first of many Friday night outings. Steve and Laura connected right away, chatting all night and getting to know one another. Two days later, they had their first official date, which was breakfast on the beach (the same beach Steve would later propose at).

The original plan was to wait until the summer to propose to Laura, however, once Steve picked up the ring, it was hard to wait. The ring was burning a hole in his pocket and because Steve is a terrible secret keeper, Laura knew something was up. The very next day, Steve got out of work early to pop the big question. He took her to the beach where they had their first date. After walking in the sand for some time, Steve got down on one knee and asked the woman he loves to spend the rest of her life with him. Laura cried and said YES!!!
