Joe, a fireman engineer, and Laura, a Lactation Counselor, met on the Bumble. Joe swiped right and Laura swiped left but then swiped right after taking a 2nd look.

They talked every day for a week with text messages and facetime. The conversations touched on everything from their likes and dislikes, to what we were looking for in a future partner. Everything from politics and religion to kids and where we saw ourselves in 5 years.

Then Joe asked Laura on a date for that upcoming Friday night, August 18, 2023. They meet each other half way since Joe was living in Charlotte, NC and Laura was in Rocky Mt, Va.

They met up in Greensboro, NC. Laura figured at the least, she could go shopping and have some kid free time. And drove her BMW convertible to a cute air BNB she found. Joe pulled up at the air bnb on his Harley to pick up Laura for their date( she thought he was very sexy). They ended up taking her car. After dinner, they went back to the air bnb to talk and continue to get to know each other. The date ended up lasting into Saturday morning.

At that point they both "knew" we found our person and deleted the bumble.

There has been lots of dates and spending time with each others kids and families as their relationship continues to grow.

Joe asked Laura on December 23, 2023 to marry him and spend the next 50 years making memories together.
