Our Wedding

We met in September 2009 at the Vernon County Fair. One of our mutual friends introduced us and we became best friends right away. We were best friends for 3 years and then started dating in October 2012. In 2014 we split up and went on our own paths. In 2018 we ran into each other on Chase's first day of his new job at LHI and we started talking again just as friends. Late 2020 we got back together!

How We Met!

Chase proposed on April 9th, 2024 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. It was a beautiful, sunshiny day and Laura was expecting to go for a walk on the beach. Little did she know that her best friends and Chase's parents were waiting under the bridge to surprise her! They all came out from hiding and Chase proposed with the most gorgeous ring. Chase's parents, Patty and Steve, brought dates from Chase's cousins' wife, Soukaina. In Moroccan culture, dates are a fruit that symbolize gratitude, generosity, and good health in your relationship. Chase gave Laura a bite of the fruit first and then Laura fed Chase a bite next and then passed it around to family and friends. Afterwards, we all went for a walk on the beach and it was the perfect day!

Chase and Laura had their official engagement photos taken on July 17th, 2025 at Olbrich Botanical Gardens and a nearby park.

Our Story

Laura and Sarah have been best friends since 1st grade. They were inseparable for most of their childhood and have very fond memories of making “grass soup” and baking Betty Crocker cakes in the kitchen! Sarah got married to Tony in 2024 and Laura was in her wedding, creating more fabulous memories!

Julia and Laura met in 1st grade. Sarah, Julia, and Laura were best friends and hung out every chance they got! Julia and Laura even lived together for a short time after high school. Those three have all been the OG's of the group and nothing will separate them. Laura and Julia have fond memories of swimming in Julia's pool, going to dance classes, and going to Oregon together.

Hunter and Chase met on Facebook in 2014 and bonded over their love of cars. They quickly became best friends and hung out all the time. Their favorite things to do together included shopping, going out to eat, driving around, bowling, and getting pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks. Chase was Hunter's best man in his wedding in 2022.

Chase and Zach met through mutual friends in 2016. They both love cars and never stop talking about them. Now that Zach has moved to Madison, they have regular breakfast "dates" at The Breakfast Club in La Crosse whenever Zach visits home.

Chase and Josue met through working at Optum Serve in 2022. Chase quickly became Josue's mentor and leader through his new career in Software Engineering. Working in IT for Optum was Josue's first job in the field and Chase was there to guide him. This eventually led to their new friendship. They like to play Call of Duty together and discuss their IT endeavors.
