Our Wedding

Our story began in December of 2016, at Grand View Hospital, where Jake worked on the ambulance and was interviewing applicants for an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) position. One chilly morning Jake waited in the hospital’s main lobby for the next applicant, a young lady named Laura. As we greeted each other, we had absolutely no idea that the trajectory of our lives would forever change!&nbsp; After interviewing eight applicants, Laura was clearly Jake’s first/second choice (depending on who you ask) and she was hired. As we worked together, a casual friendship slowly began which blossomed into a deeply meaningful relationship. We grew inseparable and began enjoying life together beyond anything we believed possible!&nbsp; We have fun cooking together, sharing awkward moments of goofy humor (yee!), surprising each other with gifts, working on Jake’s house, and adventuring around the world.&nbsp; Jake knew he could not live without Laura and wanted to marry her, but waited until she had graduated from paramedic school before popping the question. Jake took Laura out to a nice restaurant by Peddler’s Village under the guise of a “graduation dinner.” After dinner, we took a walk through Peddler’s Village, which was fully decorated with Christmas lights. An earlier rain had given way to a thick fog that enveloped us as we strolled through the shimmering paths. Amongst thousands of holiday lights, Jake got down on one knee with a very sparkly ring and proposed. Laura, who after a moment of speechless surprise and excitement, said yes and just as Jake suspected, she immediately started making wedding plans that night!

During ski season their weekends are usually a two night minimum, therefore the online booking system will not allow for a one night stay. By calling them directly you will have the option of booking a one night stay. You will have the option of booking a regular room or a suite depending on availability.

Also, please be aware that since it is ski season, the chances of booking a room that day are slim. If you planning on drinking or are concerned about driving in the snow, we suggest you book early.

Guests of the Hotel at Bear Creek can relax in one of several pools or hot tubs. The Hotel's North Tower has a heated indoor pool and indoor and outdoor hot tubs. The mountain-side outdoor pool and hot tub are adjacent to the Hotel's South Tower. Towels are available at the pools. The eatery is open during the winter months and is a great spot for our hungry skiers and snowboarders. It's the perfect place to grab quick food on the go, so you can shred the slopes all day long.
