Our Wedding

Laura &amp; Scott hit it off when they met for the first time as freshman at Shawnee State in August 2019. After a few late nights of movies and board games, they knew they’d be inseparable.

Laura and Hannah met in freshman biology at Shawnee and they instantly hit it off. From late nights in the research lab to enduring PA school together as roommates, they have always supported each other through thick and thin. Hannah is a beautiful soul inside and out who can make anyone smile on their worst day.

Angel was Laura’s roommate at SSU. It was through this that she and Scott bonded over their shared interests and hobbies. Angel has been an invaluable part of many of Scott and Laura’s memories together, and she has remained Scott’s closest friend. Scott is greatly thankful to have known Angel through so many significant milestones over the past five years.

Who knew sitting next to each other during a 3rd grade field trip would lead to a lifelong friendship. Laura has had the privilege of growing up alongside Jillian. From childhood sleep overs to navigating the twists and turns of adulthood, Jillian has always been her confidant and partner in crime. Jillian is a selfless, loving friend who always puts others first.

Cheyenne is sister of the groom. Scott greatly cherishes his memories of growing up with her, from playing in the back yard to announcing her softball games. Cheyenne has always been an incredibly giving person, and Scott is proud of the woman that she has become.

Laura and Sydnie soon became friends during sophomore year biology at Shawnee. They have shared endless laughs and memories together, supporting each other every step of the way. Sydnie’s kindness, tenacity, and compassion make anyone lucky to know her.

Jarod met Scott at SSU, and the two became friends as they worked together in numerous choral and theatrical performances. Jarod is an amazing singer as well as an incredibly funny, kind, and loving friend. Scott is happy to know Jarod and looks forward to seeing all of the amazing things he will accomplish.

Laura and Hanna quickly became friends after meeting in sophomore year biology at Shawnee. Hanna has the superpower of disarming anyone’s bad mood with her elite sense of humor. Hanna’s loyalty, generosity, and empathy make her a wonderful friend to anyone who has the privilege of knowing her.

Sebastian was Scott’s closest friend throughout high school, where the two grew close over their shared love of music. Scott’s most cherished memories from high school are of performing alongside Sebastian at honor bands, football games, and musicals. Sebastian is highly determined in all that he does, and Scott is grateful to have a friend that constantly teaches him new things.

Josie and Laura met sophomore year at Shawnee. Josie’s dedication not only to her friends, but also to her community is more than admirable. She is always thinking of others and comes well prepared to any event or gathering. Laura is glad to have Josie and her sweet nature by her side.

Luke was a classmate with Laura at Kettering College when he and Scott met. Luke works incredibly hard and always seeks out ways that he can better himself and help those around him. He is a gracious and kind person who is always looking to care for his friends. Scott is glad to have found such an amazing friend after moving to Kettering.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 pm, so we recommend arriving 30 minutes early to park, find your seat, and settle in.

Can I bring a plus-one?

We have worked hard to create an intimate celebration, so only the guests listed on your invitation are invited. If your invitation says "+1" or includes a guest's name, then yes we'd love for them to join!

Are children welcome?

Our wedding will be a child-free celebration. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy a fun night out!

What should I wear?

Our wedding will be semi-formal/dressy casual, so we'd love to see you in your best dressed-up look! Think midi or floor length dresses, jumpsuits, dress shirt, dress shoes. No denim please. Keep in mind the ceremony will be held outdoors on grass, weather permitting, so please dress accordingly. Please avoid wearing white, ivory, or cream to allow the bride to shine in her dress.

Are either of you changing your last name?

No, neither one of us will be changing our last name.
