Funny Story...Laura was Doug's boss. One day, they took a walk and Doug made it very clear that he was "no longer interested" in being her employee, and that he had every intention of dating her. For the most part Laura was on board. Sure, she already had a boyfriend, and a bout of crippling anxiety (not uncommon). But they weren't going to let any of that get in the way.

They spent that summer in a state much similar to Sam and Diane; will they or won't they? Until finally, after taking a group of 100 kids to see Finding Dory, Laura gave in (Doug really pulls off a backwards hat).

What are the odds! What are the odds that Doug would get that job at that point in time? What are the odds that Laura would be open and willing enough to take a bold step into the unknown? More importantly, what are the odds that they would find themselves with the most incredible family and friends the universe has to offer?

One puppy, three labor intensive moves, and several adventures later, they found themselves on a walk again. This time down Mayflower Beach. This walk was different. They walked down to the beach boyfriend and girlfriend, and left the beach engaged to be wed.
