Wedding Party

Amy Townsend - Matron of Honor
My maid of honor and other half. We met thought St. Charles about 4.5 years ago but I feel like I've known her my entire life! She's a fiercely loyal friend, a loving wife, and new mom to her daughter Cece! She's also responsible for secretly orchestrating by second run in with Brian soooo I do have to give her some credit for this wedding!
Jack Sullivan
Jack Sullivan - Best Man
Brian and Jack always had a close connection since before either of them can remember. As the older brother by barely 16 months, Jack was practically Brian's Irish twin. Although they might not have looked much alike, they were unmistakably brothers. Through many early years, Jack led the way, establishing the path for Brian to follow in tow. When Jack picked up hockey, Brian followed the very next year and fell in love with the sport. In their second year playing together, Jack got very interested in statistics and kept track of every goal and assist. Jack had 30 goals that year and Brian had 27 assists, almost all of them to his big brother! Jack eventually decided to hang up the skates a couple years later, but he continued to always keep track of the statistics for Brian's entire team, all the way until high school. Jack led the way in a number of other things too... going to BC High, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, going far away for college, and tying the knot himself are just a few of the big ones. Recently, we came across three funny t-shirts. The first two say: 1) "I'm the oldest. I make the rules," and 2) "I'm the middle child. I'm the reason we have rules." We will get to the third shirt shortly, but these two serve as a perfect explanation of how Jack guided Brian through everything they did, and Brian looked up to his brother for how to act and get better at everything they tried.
Bobby Sullivan
Bobby Sullivan - Best Man
Bobby of course represents the third t-shirt that we spoke about above which said, "I am the youngest. The rules don't apply to me." Bobby joined the fold 5 years after Brian to complete the Sullivan family. Although he still took after Jack and Brian in many things, such as being another double-eagle between BC High and Boy Scouts, he has developed a style of his own. In high school, Bobby picked up ultimate frisbee and was a team captain by senior year. Bobby was also quite the actor, who played multiple roles in several summer plays, while Jack and Brian were happy to help on the stage crew. Now, Bobby is rounding off his unique path with a major in Environmental Science and a minor in Theology from the College of the Holy Cross (Go Crusaders!) in the class of 2020.
Maryanne Mercede - Bridesmaid
We met through a women's small group at St. Charles about 5.5 years ago and have been friends ever since! She's the kindest person I know and is also the best dog mom to Dolly! She's been by my side as we've navigated our mid-late 20's and I don't think I could have done it without her! She was also there the night I met Brian!
John Mika - Groomsman
Laura's first brother, John has many similarities with Brian. Growing up he was king of Legos. Instead of building what was on the box he would build these intricate and massive structures. It's only fitting he grew up to be an engineer. Also like Brian, he is an avid college sports fan. As a proud Penn State Alum, he can be found at every football game cheering on the Nittany Lions! But don't let him challenge you to a corn hole game at a tailgate, he will crush you!
Margaret Aichele - Bridesmaid
My cousin! Along with her sister Charlotte we were inseparable at family gatherings growing up. We spent every holiday together and a week in the Outer Banks together every summer. We could frequently be found painting our nails, digging for sand diggers, or trying to talk to boys over walkie talkies at the beach. She lives and works in Chicago but is also an AMAZING photographer and is super creative! She actually took our save the date photo!
Charlotte Aichele - Bridesmaid
As the youngest cousin I pretty much considered her my real life baby doll growing up. We went every where together as kids and along with Margaret we made a promise to each other that when the time came we would all be in each others weddings! She's a junior at the University of Wisconsin and will be studying abroad in Rome this spring!
Daniel Mika - Groomsman
Laura's youngest brother, Daniel is a force to be reckoned with as well. As the youngest member of the family, he knew he would need to be able to hold his own in a little rough housing. So he began honing his skills as a wrestler at age 7. He went on to have a winning career, even wresting Division 1 in college. He is a proud George Mason alum and recently started a new job at a defense consulting group!
Anna Murphy - Bridesmaid
Anna is my best friend from high school! We've known each other since we were super awkward freshmen and Anna has literally seen me at my most embarrassing. When we went on beach week our senior year of high school we were too scared to drink alcohol so instead we made mock margaritas and drank them out of wine glasses to feel cool! She does marketing and event planning for a whiskey company in New York!
Pat Ahern
Pat Ahern - Groomsman
Pat has the ideal blend of ingenuity, hard work ethic, and flexibility that it takes to be an entrepreneur. Brian grew up with Pat, playing countless backyard wiffle ball games and becoming video game masters. They went to high school at BC High and continued to be extremely close, taking part in retreats, service trips, and numerous other trips that went around the world. Today, Pat is the proud co-founder of Junto, a digital marketing company based in Denver. Brian has loved taking advantage of Pat's new home and his adventurous spirit over the past few years. The two of them have hiked two mountains over 14,000 ft high through over 3 ft of snow with hardly any training. You can always count on Pat to dive head first into whatever he does... except for responding to text messages and invitations. We think he is coming to the wedding... he still hasn't RSVP'd.
Shelby Sullivan - Bridesmaid
Shelby is my soon to be sister in law! Shelby is definitely the reason I was able to survive "meet the parents" and has been my guide to all things Sullivan! She's also my forever family trip roommate so we've had time for lots of pillow talk! She's a school psychologist and is newly married to Brian's brother Jack!
Sam Mullin
Sam Mullin - Groomsman
Sam and Brian are truly life long friends. Born only 10 days apart and growing up only one street away, Brian and Sam were cutting through their neighbors' yards from a very young age. Once they were old enough to have an allowance, they would call up Pat and walk down to Tedeschi's , Tiger Mart, and of course Crowe Point Pizza. The three of them probably ate more buffalo chicken calzones in one summer than most people eat in a lifetime. Sam and Brian played a lot of sports together and he was part of the tight group of friends that went to BC High (shout-outs to Matt Burke and Jack Bardsley). Although they have been in different cities for almost 9 years now, Brian and Sam have made many trips to meet up and explore new cities. Sam has always been the life of the party...and often the host. With Sam in town, we should always be prepared for a wild time!
Stefanie Colino - Bridesmaid
Stef is one of my best friends and roommates from college! We lived on the same hallway freshman year and met when she literally bounced (she was a cheerleader in college) into my room. We became fast friends and ended up joining the same sorority freshman year! If you see us making weird claw like gestures in pictures don't worry, we've done that in every picture since freshman bid day! Stef is getting married 3 weeks after us and fun fact her fiance Jon went to high school with Brian and was the same year there as his brother Jack!
Chris McAuliffe
Chris McAuliffe - Groomsman
Chris and Brian's bond of friendship is one of many forged in the fires of GUGS (Georgetown University Grilling Society). At Georgetown, Chris and Brian both became Grillmasters, worked in the Center for Social Justice, and graduated with the same major. After Georgetown, Chris and Brian both lined up jobs to work for EY... in the same role.Unfortunately, Chris's job took him to NYC and Brian stayed in D.C. After a couple of years, Chris had enough of the big city and rejoined the D.C. crowd. Brian has been thrilled to have him back in town. Chris is always a blast to be around and he is the rally king. If you feel like you are fading, have no fear. Chris will always be there with a Coke and a smile... just give him a 30 minute nap first.
Tyler Adams
Tyler Adams - Groomsman
Tyler and Brian met on move-in day at Georgetown since they were on the same freshman floor. That winter, Tyler introduced Brian to a new season... college basketball season. Brian had never followed much college sports before, but the Hoyas had a lot of hype. Tyler and Brian formed a tight bunch with their friends Connor and Blake and made it to just about every home game. The four of them would show up to the Verizon Center in downtown D.C. 3-4 hours ahead of time to make sure they could get front row seats. The fandom truly peaked their sophomore year when the four of them slept on the sidewalk, waiting over 20 hours for front row seats at the last game of the season against arch-rival Syracuse. After a 22 point thrashing, they rushed the court. Tyler and Brian have shared countless other memories throughout the past 9 years, spending 3 of them as roommates and always relying on each other to get home mostly in one piece. They have had a few mishaps though, so keep an eye on them on the dance floor...
Alyssa Wilkowski - Bridesmaid
Alyssa is my other best friend and roommate from college! She lived across the hall from me freshman year and we bonded over our love of sailing. We became the best of friends after several of us went to her shore house for the weekend one week into freshman year! She also joined my sorority sophomore year! She is married to her high school sweetheart Jeff and his also a new mother to her son Christian!
