Laura & GJ went to the same schools from fourth grade all the way to high school together, even graduating in the same class. They even lived less than 2 miles away, however, they didn't know each other. Well, Laura had heard of GJ but apparently, GJ didn't remember Laura (Laura does not believe this to be true).

They each went off to college, Laura to LSU to play soccer (seriously, he didn't remember her?).

GJ to MIT (not to play sports).

Both eventually ended up back in The Woodlands.

When they met, Laura was getting her teaching certification and was an Assistant Teacher at The Woodlands Methodist School, where GJ's nephews attended.

She was looking for some help with math...

GJ is really good at math and he was already a fan of women's soccer...

In November 2021, Laura (obviously) reached out to GJ on LinkedIn for "math help".

The rest is history!
