When and where is the wedding?
We’ll be tying the knot on April 10, 2026 in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Waikiki Leia, with a relaxed ceremony followed by food, drinks, and some late-night fun.
What’s the vibe / dress code?
It’ll be a small intimate group; about 30 guests total.
Think elegant, but easygoing. We’re aiming for a warm, intimate celebration with a touch of refinement—so dress like you’re headed to a beautiful dinner party by the sea. Cocktail attire is perfect: dresses, jumpsuits, dress shirts, slacks, or suits if you’d like. Leave the ties at home if that’s more your style, but feel free to bring a little glamour.
Will everything be in one place?
Not quite! The ceremony and dinner will be at Waikiki Leia and later in the evening we’ll head to [place TBD] for [things TBD].
What’s the best way to get there?
Fly into Honolulu airport (HNL), and make your way toward Waikiki/ Kaimuki for convenience to the rest of us and to the venue.
Where should we stay?
We have blocked several hotel rooms for your to book on your own at a group rate discount at Kaimana Beach Hotel. We’ve vetted this hotel and recommend purchasing your room reservations there. Rooms range from affordable garden views of the park to sweeping views of the ocean, the city and Diamondhead volcano in a suite or Junior suite.
If the hotel is not your thing, we’ve listed some nearby options on the [“Travel” or “Lodging”] page on this website—ranging from hotels to Airbnbs.
Should I rent a car?
This area of Waikiki is HIGHLY walkable. You can totally survive without a car you’re entire stay. However, if you choose to rent a car, you can reserve one from all of the major rental companies right from the airport. But know that because it’s a small island, parking spaces are precious and sometimes pricey.
There is a trick we’ve found: parking at Kaimana Beach (next to the hotel) is free in the daytime and parking on the street just across from the hotel is free at night. So, feel free to play that game to avoid the ~$50 daily hotel valet parking fee.
Do I need a passport?
Yes, if you are not a citizen of the United States.
Additionally the US is implementing required REAL ID for all US citizen travelers as of May 7, 2025.
Here is a link on how to get one: https://www.dhs.gov/real-id
What will the ceremony be like?
Short, sweet, and heartfelt—with our own vows, Hawaiian lei exchange ceremony, and a few happy tears. Yep. Laura will 100% happy cry.
Are kids welcome?
Absolutely! Especially if their names are Ava and Scarlett (so far these are the only two who will be joining us).
We’ll have a kid-friendly atmosphere earlier in the evening. Once the little ones are in bed, grown-ups are welcome to hang around the [thing] at the [place].
What about food and drinks?
We’ll be dining at Waikiki Leia, a hidden gem known for its incredible locally inspired cuisine and intimate atmosphere. The chef’s tasting menu features beautifully plated, seasonal dishes that highlight the best of Hawaiian ingredients with a refined twist. Trust us—you’re in for an unforgettable meal. Drinks will be flowing, with a curated selection of wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options to keep the good vibes going.
What happens after dinner?
Once the sun goes down, we’ll gather at [place] for [thing]. Karaoke may or may not break out…
What should I bring?
A light layer for the evening, comfy shoes, and anything else you’d want for hanging outdoors. And if you plan to swim or surf while you’re here—pack accordingly!
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Let us know in your RSVP—we want everyone to be fed and happy and not in hospital!
Do you have any gift registries?
Your presence is the only gift we need!
But if you’d like to contribute to our honeymoon or future plans, [link to registry or honeymoon fund].
Will the ceremony be live-streamed?
Yes! Here's a link to join us remotely for the ceremony.
How can I join the ceremony remotely?
Check back on this website on the day for a link to view the live-stream of our ceremony. We know this is a lot of travel to ask so just join remotely if you like!
