Our bride and groom met for the first time on the very first day of freshman orientation at their alma mater, Florida State University. Quickly, they began to connect over their excitement for the next chapter of their lives and their desire for a strong sense of community at FSU. Rydge's charismatic humor and Laura's inviting sensitivity brought the pair together almost immediately.

From the very first summer term at FSU in 2016 to their (devastatingly unexpected) early departure in 2020, Rydge and Laura were inseparable. Seriously - they did not spend a day apart the entire time they were in college! Rydge was a steadfast support for Laura's journey as a music therapy student and never missed a choral concert. Laura got the better end of the deal and supported Rydge by attending his greek life events. Most importantly, the couple never lost sight of each other and always managed to find ways to grow deeper in love. When graduation came and it was time for a chapter beyond Florida State, Rydge and Laura knew the adventure would be incomplete if it wasn't experienced together.

Since Rydge and Laura first met, Rydge was vocal about his desire to become an attorney. A lifelong dream he set out to accomplish as a child was finally coming to life as he began applying for law school! A man true to his convictions and determined to succeed, Rydge was immediately presented with a breadth of options to choose from. Eager to show Laura a place he knew she'd fall in love with, Rydge knew that the University of Colorado Boulder was the obvious choice. In August of 2020, our bride and groom packed their lives and began their cross country move to the west.

In 2023, Rydge and Laura BOTH graduated with their second degrees! Rydge completed his lifelong dream of becoming an attorney by finishing law school, and Laura entered her true calling and obtained her Master's in social work. Of course, this was no easy feat, and the couple credit each other's unwavering support of their endeavors for their success. As a result of their unconditional celebration of each other, Rydge and Laura were able to celebrate another major milestone on the same timeline. (Telling you - inseparable!!!)

Together for over seven years, Laura and Rydge had obtained FIVE degrees between the two of them, bought their first home, begun their careers and traveled the world! But - it was time for ANOTHER milestone. In November of 2023, Rydge took Laura on a hike with a view he knew she'd love and asked her the most important question yet. The perfect beginning to their next chapter, the pair became engaged at Sapphire Point in Breckenridge, Colorado.

On October 5th, 2024, our bride and groom will embark on their greatest adventure! Rydge and Laura have been together for over eight years and their marriage is highly anticipated by all. Connected by a promise that evolved to eternal commitment, the love shared between our Mr. and Mrs. Rath to be is unmistakable. The couple can't wait to welcome you all to their home in Denver, Colorado, where their lives together really began, to celebrate their (official) union! Cheers to the Raths!
