Have some free time before the wedding kicks off?

Here are some fun places to visit in the Madison area.

Olbrich Garden Botanical Gardens. stroll through the outdoor portion of the gardens for free, but if the tropical plants are more your speed, head indoors. For a small admission price, check out the beautiful plants, and maybe even catch a glimpse of a canary or two!

Visit Wisconsin's State Capitol. The Capitol building is free and open to the public on the weekends. Check out where Wisconsin's laws are set (and where Laura works during the week!) and maybe go on one of the free tours provided

Saturday farmers market. Check out one of the country's largest outdoor markets, full of veggies, snacks and other goods! Make sure to grab a loaf of Stella's spicy bread for later.

Take a walk (or a rental E-bike) down the Capitol trail. One of the best parts of Madison is the extensive bike trail. Take a ride near the lake, or down State Street!

Take a hike. We encourage you to enjoy the great outdoors while you visit. There are plenty of beautiful trails in the area!

Grab a fish fry and an old fashioned. If you're in town on Friday, we also highly recommend taking part in the time-honored Friday fish fry. There are so many restaurants that offer up some of the best fish around!
