Our Wedding

Their story begins, like most do, on a dating app. Joe swiped when he saw how adventurous and active she was, along with being a bit nerdy. Laura was wary that Joe might be a Penn State bro, but took a chance when she saw that he led with a dad joke: Why are athletes heavier than prisoners? Because the pros outweigh the cons. Laura was instantly hooked. Soon after they had their first date, at Flip & Baileys in Bryn Mawr. Laura was relieved to see that Joe was, in fact, not a Penn State bro, while Joe noticed that Laura was not as tan as her photos. Joe didn’t realize all her photos were while Laura was in vacation mode. They both hit it off and quickly set up a second date at Paladar, in King of Prussia. Dinner & drinks were enjoyed by both and they sat by the fire pits to talk for some time after. Joe was bold and their first kiss was had. Things continued to blossom from there. In April, Laura was planning a friends trip to several National Parks in Utah, for September. She offered Joe to come along, but only 2 months into the relationship, understood if he wouldn’t want to go. Not 5 minutes later, Joe bought his tickets. They slowly introduced the other to their respective families and were relieved to see both were not only well received, but welcomed with open arms. Joes big, loud, close (in proximity) family contrasted from Laura’s smaller, more spread out family, but both couldn’t be more loving or accepting. After moving in together in February 2024, both took to the change like fishes in water. Everything just felt right. Joe’s cats Vizzy and Egg quickly took to Laura as their new cat mom. They knew they were each others person. In September 2024, they picked out the perfect ring, but Joe wouldnt inform Laura of when he would propose, nor if he even had the ring in his possession. However, he knew the perfect time. During that summer they had planned a long weekend away in the Poconos to celebrate Laura’s birthday with an intimate trip away. Joe had ideas of when, exactly, he wanted to pop the question, but it was Laura’s words not long after their arrival, that answered the question for him. She mentioned how she packed too many things when all she needed was him. He knelt down then and there. She said yes without hesitation. Joe and Laura can’t wait to celebrate their special day with friends and family. The next chapter in their love story can’t come soon enough.
