Sister of the Bride. Anna and Laura have been close since they were little and have gotten closer as they have gotten older. Anna and Laura always bonded over their love of swimming when they were younger and loved competing on the same summer league team, VAC. Laura loves that Anna chose to go to Virginia Tech and has developed a passion for Triathlons. Laura is always excited to go and visit!

One of Thomas' closest friends, Michael and Thomas met back in Freshman year of High School on the Cross Country Team. Michael continued his running career during collage and received a degree in Communications at CNU. While the distance between CNU and Virginia Tech was great, these two made sure to value the time they had together during any break periods they received. Former neighbors turned Best Friends, Tammy Davis (Thomas' Mom) still laughs to this day about the story of how these two met!

Sister of the Groom. Mary and Thomas have been close throughout their whole life. From participating in Karate groups together to driving each other to and from high school. Mary continues her successful career of Gymnastics and Philanthropy while Thomas provides never-ending support.

Thomas and Matt have known each other since there days at Echo Lake elementary school. While they never shared any classes together, they swam together on the Hungary Creek Swim Team until the summer of 2016. They have remained incredibly close even with Matt taking his studies and hockey skills to Courtland, New York.

Sister of the Groom. Rachel and Thomas, while not always smooth sailing, have created a special bond throughout the years. Being the youngest is never an easy task, but Rachel has handled this task the only way Rachel knows how, FABULOULSY!! Rachel joined the Hokie family this past fall, warming Thomas' heart!

Brother of the bride. Phillip and Laura have shared a special bond throughout their childhood. Fortunate enough to both be graduates of Virginia Tech's Class of 2020.

Cousin of the Bride. Laura and Melissa always were close growing up. Their families only lived a short 30 minutes apart and visited often. Laura and Melissa bonded over their shared love of running and always enjoy any time they get to spend together. Melissa is now working in the Vienna area, and Laura visits often when she is in the area.

Brother of the Bride. Laura and Johnathan have had very similar athletic ties. Both were active members of M3 Triathlon group of their home town in Vienna, Virginia. This carried on through college as both continued their Triathlon career as part of the Virginia Tech Triathlon Club.

Cousin of the Bride. Laura and Alicia have always been close. When they were young, the two of them were inseparable and always causing trouble. Alicia now works as a Speech Pathologist and lives just out Nashville, TN. When Alicia and her husband lived in the Glen Allen area, Laura and Thomas both enjoyed visiting them and meeting their adorable dog, Dexter.

Justin is Thomas' oldest friend of the Wedding Party. Thomas and Justin met in Kindergarten and never looked back! They have participated in various sports together over the years; Football, Basketball, Running and Frisbee. They have also been responsible for various injuries to one another; Sprained MCL, Black Eyes, Broken Fingers, Broken Toes! They continued their friendship through their time at Virginia Tech where Justin currently studies as he pursues a PHD!

Cousin of the Bride. Laura and Sarah have been close since they were little, but really bonded over competitive swimming and eventually triathlons. Although, they weren't on the same team for very long, Laura and Sarah always loved seeing each other at races and meets. It was especially fun for them to see each other at Collegiate Triathlons even if Sarah did race for UVA. Sarah is finishing up her Speech Pathology Program at JMU and is going to get married later this spring!

Zack and Thomas met in the 2nd grade and have remained a close duo since. Zack and Thomas ran all throughout Middle and High School together where they challenged each other mentally and physically everyday while relaxing with long, late-night video game sessions at each others houses. Zack continued his running career at the collegiate levels at CNU and Virginia Tech.

Laura and Rachel met their freshman year at Virginia Tech while running for the Cross Country and Track Teams. Although Laura always gravitated towards the longer events and Rachel liked anything a little shorter, the two were fast friends. Laura eventually switched from running full time to competing in triathlons, but always stayed in touch and kept their friendship strong. Rachel recently moved to the Glen Allen area and her, Laura and Thomas often go for runs after work. Rachel works in Richmond as a Civil Engineer and is getting married later this spring.

Jarod and Thomas met Freshmen year at Virginia Tech. They both spent the next 3 years tied by the hip as they pursued a degree in Building Construction. Brought together by their degrees, they traveled all over visiting Washington D.C. and New York City as they tried to expose themselves to different construction methods. Jarod continues his construction career as a General Contractor down in Chesapeake, VA.

Laura and Jenn met their freshman year of college while both running for Virginia Tech. Both were put in the distance group and did many hard workouts together that made them even closer friends. Laura and Jenn really became close when they both joined the triathlon team at Virginia Tech and hung out and worked out together almost every day. Laura loves going to visit Jenn in Blacksburg, where she works as an Engineer at the Armory, to go for long runs in the woods.

Kyle and Thomas have had their paths cross throughout Middle and High School, but it was their time together at Virginia Tech that it most memorable. Kyle's love for nature and his fun personality took him and Thomas on crazy adventures throughout their time at Virginia Tech. Laura and Thomas consider Kyle a major part of their relationship as he has provided endless love and support to the two of them!

Laura and Katrina met while participating on the triathlon team together at Virginia Tech. They hung out on almost a daily basis through college and loved to play board games and have movie nights. Katrina lives and works in Northern Virginia now but the two visit often, whether it is in Richmond or NoVA.

Bobby and Thomas met while doing Triathlon Club at Virginia Tech. They immediately became close and become roommates by the end of their Sophomore year of college. They combined their love of sports and partying to form a wonderful friendship, culminated by a Caribbean Cruise together with Thomas' family in the winter of 2018!

Mike and Thomas met doing Triathlons at Virginia Tech. Mike was one of the first people Thomas befriended during his time at Virginia Tech. They quickly became close and by the end of their Sophomore years, they became roommates. Mike continues his studies at Virginia tech, pursing a PHD, while also receiving frequent visits from Thomas and Laura to party and discuss their hatred for bananas ad their love for Star Wars.

While Conner is the boyfriend of Thomas' sister, Mary, Thomas knows that he really only comes over reminisce on their love for Star Wars. Conner currently studies at VMI and participates actively with their swim program.
