Our Wedding

Lauras favorite spot is a boardwalk overlooking Swan Pond in West Yarmouth. Walking-distance from her Aunt’s Cape Cod home, Laura visits this boardwalk often and has taken plenty of pictures there. Summer of 2020, Ryan and Laura enjoyed a week together down the Cape. After the perfect beach day, Ryan suggested they go for a walk so that Laura could finally show him her favorite spot. Once at the boardwalk, however, Laura was upset to see that the entrance was boarded up with a CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE sign. Not surprisingly, Laura was ready to turn around but Ryan convinced her to go on it anyways, and lifted her over the gate. Once on the boardwalk, Ryan set up his camera so they could take a picture together. Posing on the boardwalk just as the sun was setting, Ryan got down on one knee and asked Laura to marry him. Are you serious? was Lauras initial response followed by lots of oh my gods and a yes. Ryan was glad that Laura agreed to jump the fence so that he didnt have to figure out another plan. Laura and Ryan added their initials to the collection of names already on the boardwalk and returned there to take their engagement pictures.
