Swamp Rabbit trail
103 McDaniel Ave, Greenville, SC 29601, USA
The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 28 mile long long trail that runs alongside the Reedy river, through downtown Greenville. Rent a bike from Reedy Rides or from one of the E-bike stations (B-Cycle app). Go West, and you will pass Furman campus and eventually end up in Travelers Rest (home of Lauras favorite breakfast spot--Tandem). After the zoo, there is less to see following it east but will likely be less crowded.
Yee-Haw Brewing Company
Our favorite downtown spot for good food, beer, and one of the largest outdoor TV’s you’ve seen! Don’t miss out on their pretzel!
Best Restaurants
We would highly recommend making a dinner reservation if you’re wanting to eat out somewhere downtown Friday night!
Downtown:
-Soby’s: great southern food
-Jones Oyster Co: must-try hush puppies and Lobster roll. Don’t take reservations
-Sassafras: more great southern cooking!
-Belladinas: Nick’s favorite pizza! Mostly carryout
-Coral: All-around great seafood
-Up on the Roof: dinner or drinks with an incredible view over Greenville and you can see the mountains in the distance on a clear day
BBQ:
-Lewis BBQ: the best bbq in town. Grab a drink as you wait in line
-Hometeam BBQ: second best bbq in town and still Laura’s favorite pulled pork. Get a GameChanger frozen drink
Brunch:
- Tandem: 20 min away in Travelers Rest, but has amazing Crepes
-Halls: brunch on Sundays only
Late Night (Greenville isn’t a late town)

-Neat Bourbon Bar
-Press Room (speakeasy and requires a code)
Shopping On Main
Straight down Main, there are lots of local and specialty shops. Some of our favorites include Savana Bee Co, Mast General Store, Spice & Tea Exchange, Judson Bookstore, Coffee Underground, Vintage Now Modern, and Poppington’s.
On the way, you can see if you (or kids) can find all the Mice On Main (9 total). They sell a book and mice souvenirs in Mast General Store.
