On November 21, 2022, LAVA messaged Aaron on a dating app while visiting Phoenix from Hawaii. She invited him on a date to hike Camelback Mountain, and they connected instantly. Things went so well, LAVA secretly saved Aaron in her phone as "Future Husband" that day.

The day after they met, LAVA returned to Hawaii. Despite the distance, they texted all day long and spoke on FaceTime daily, determined to make their relationship work.

Eager to see LAVA again, Aaron booked a trip to Hawaii for Christmas. Two days into the trip, they officially became a couple. Over the next four months, Aaron and LAVA navigated a long-distance relationship, meeting up for long weekends once or twice a month. They went snowboarding in Utah, spent New Year's Eve together in Denver, met in San Diego, and LAVA visited Phoenix a couple of times.

In April 2023, LAVA moved from Hawaii to Phoenix to be with Aaron, moving straight in with him. Since then, they’ve bought a house, got two dogs - Atlas and Violet, and are happily building a life together.

In January 2024, while on vacation together in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, Aaron proposed to LAVA on the beach at sunrise. She accepted, and the two are planning a wedding in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 3, 2025.
