On March 9, 2022 Denise Scully, a close family friend of the Walsh’s (with a great track record of matchmaking) approached Mike on the Winterpark pickleball court in Naples, FL where he had just bought after renting for many years. She said she had a niece that Mike had to contact. “She’s the absolute best, the nicest person, she’s a nurse at MGH and lives in South Boston. I know you’re in Florida but don't think about that, I have a very strong feeling about this and I know something will happen whether it's romantically or really good friends!” Two days later she gave Mike Laura’s number. He texted her that night and we hit it off immediately!

We were amazed that we hadn't met sooner given how small Winterpark is as well as how many different connections we had through family and friends having grown up so close to each other in Scituate and Holbrook. We continued to text, talk and facetime over the next couple weeks until Mike decided to shorten his time in Naples and drive back up to Boston to finally meet the woman he would spend the rest of my life with!

Since we met our time has been filled with golfing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. We are so thrilled to start the rest of our lives together and feel blessed to have you as a part of it!
