Our Love Story

Warren and I started chatting on Hinge, about two weeks before I moved to Lexington. I knew I liked him right away, and we connected over our mutual love for history and science. I remember telling my friends that this guy was telling me about the life cycle of fission yeast, and I thought he was so cool. We had our first date the day after I got to Lexington, and we ended up spending more than 4 hours together, going from coffee shop to brewery to ice cream shop. A few weeks later, he was helping me set up my new apartment, and we both knew this could be it when even furniture shopping together was fun.

A month into dating, I crashed my bike and broke my wrist. Warren spent 10 hours in the emergency room with me and took such good care of me through my surgery and recovery. That's when I knew he was the one. Since then, we've supported each other through ups and downs. We've also been on lots of adventures and we've been loving exploring the outdoors, both here in Kentucky and while traveling.

Warren proposed in Joshua Tree National Park, when we went to Southern California to visit my family for the holidays. We took a sunset hike and climbed onto a big rock, where he asked me to marry him as the sun was setting over the mountains, illuminating the landscape a beautiful purple and red. We feel so blessed to have found each other, and we are looking forward to sharing our day with you!
