Ella and Laura have been best friends since high school. They often got confused for each other; not because they look alike, but because they were always together. They both decided to study nursing and stayed close despite attending different colleges. They have gone on two cross-country road trips together, visiting 18 States, 13 National Parks, and 4 major cities. Road tripping together was easy since they’re “basically the same person”. Ella is someone Laura can always turn to for advice or a good laugh. Laura was a bridesmaid in Ella’s wedding last summer.

Rebecca is Laura’s older sister and growing up they were the “big girls'' of the sisters. Laura enjoys seeing the art that Rebecca creates and is constantly impressed by the tenacity Rebecca shows as an elementary art teacher.

Rachel is Laura’s fellow middle sibling. They both share a love for cats and Just Dance. Laura enjoyed hearing about Rachel’s experience as a transfer junior at GMU living on campus.

Stephanie is Laura’s baby sister. Stephanie is a freshman at Laura & James’ alma mater JMU. This year Laura has enjoyed visiting Stephanie in Harrisonburg and showing her around town.

Leah and Laura are cousins. They grew up looking forward to hanging out during visits to “Nanny and Poppy’s house”. Laura and Leah share a sense of adventure and athletic spirit. During visits, they enjoyed long days of playing manhunt, underground church, various board games, and sharing stories. Laura was recently one of Leah's bridesmaids this April.

Grace met both James and Laura in college through the campus ministry Cru. Grace and Laura were in the same small group and discipleship group. Laura was super excited when Grace moved to Charlottesville for grad school. They enjoy trying new restaurants, watching scary movies, and having deep conversations together. Grace even took Laura and James’ engagement photos!

Mary and Laura met in college on the JMU cross country and track team and were roommates for two years. Mary is one of the coolest people Laura knows and someone she always enjoys spending time with. Laura credits Mary and her cat Mitzie for making her the cat lover she is today.

Miranda and Laura also met on the JMU cross country and track team and were roommates for 2 years. Miranda and Laura ran the same events so they spent lots of time training and racing together. They were often roommates during away meets and can spend hours talking without getting bored.
