Shuttle Details

Shuttles to the wedding will depart from the Hilton Garden Inn (305 Harry S. Truman Pkwy, Annapolis, MD) at 4:20 for arrival at Chesapeake Bay Foundation at 4:40. Don't worry if you are in the Courtyard, the hotels are right next to each other and you can easily walk from one to the other. There will be an early shuttle leaving at 9:00pm from the venue to return to the Hilton Garden Inn. There will be additional shuttles leaving at 10:00pm at the end of the celebration.

Parking

Our venue has a large parking lot with ample spaces available. If you choose to drive there and find that you want to take a shuttle home, you can get your car the next morning.

Sunday

You are welcome to stop by our AirBnB between 11:00am and 1:30pm to say goodbye on your way out of town. It's not a formal event, so please feel free to bring your own brunch and coffee, or come having had. The address is 106 Charles Street. There is a small doorway next to the house which will lead right to the backyard (between the rowhouses). Public parking is available in the Noah Hillman Garage, about two blocks away.

Our Wedding

When Bobby moved to D.C., his friend Kate found out that he liked musicals and decided to set him up with Laura. Bobby declined. Kate enlisted Julia, who called to tell Laura that she was getting set up. Laura declined. On December 31, 2015, Julia, Kate and Laura went to a New Year's party at the Newseum, which was a bit of a bust. They decided to leave early, and Kate called an uber to a party... where she knew Bobby was celebrating! They were right - we hit it off and on January 3, went on our first date at La Tasca.

Our Story

There are three airports that serve this region: Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI)25 miles to Annapolis Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)36 miles to Annapolis Dulles International Airport (IAD)62 miles to Annapolis Annapolis has relatively little public transportation, so we recommend renting a car or using rideshare services during your visit.

We have a small room block at the Courtyard Annapolis, which is located around the corner from the Hilton Garden Inn for our guests' convenience. They offer parking, a fitness center, and free breakfast, in addition to an on-site restaurant. Block rate will end 5/14, but may book up before then.

We have a small hotel block at the Hilton Garden Inn, which has free parking, a pool, and a gym. Breakfast is available for $10.95, and the hotel is about a ten minute drive to downtown. If you would prefer to select a different hotel, there are lots of options in the area! Block rate will end 5/5/2021, but may book up before then.

Travel

Downtown Annapolis has numerous restaurants, bars, and shops on Main Street and West Street, and you can find fun vintage shops on Maryland Avenue.

The city dock downtown is surrounded by bars, restaurants, and shops. This is also where the bay cruises and water taxis depart.

Watermark Tours offers water taxi services and bay cruises. The bay cruises range from 30-minute tours to full-day trips.

Sandy Point State Park is a great way to enjoy the Chesapeake Bay, with swimming, fishing, picnic tables, and trails.

On Sunday from 11am - 5pm, the First Sunday Arts Festival will take place on West Street, showcasing local artists.

On Sunday morning from 7-11 am, our caterer runs a pop-up bakery in the parking lot of Chevy's Fresh Mex. They offer breakfast sandwiches (traditional and vegan), bread, and pastries, all which we highly recommend! Get there early, as the lines can be long.

The US Naval Academy has not yet re-opened public tours, but does offer historical tours to private groups. These tours must be booked in advance.

London Town is a twenty-three acre park featuring history, archaeology, and horticulture on the South River.&nbsp;The park is open to visitors, and they offer 30-minute historical walking tours.

The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted all of our lives, and we are so excited to have our loved ones together, both in person and online, as our country starts to recover. With that in mind, we wanted to share a bit more about what to expect. This page will be updated regularly as the event approaches, so please check here or reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. Event Location: The ceremony will take place on a beach, and the reception will take place on an open-air deck. The tables will be half indoors and half outdoors, and all spaced six feet apart. The indoor space will have air conditioning, and several doors open to improve airflow. We will have a served buffet, and ask that all guests wear masks when they go inside to get their food. Event Size:  Wedding venues in Maryland are currently operating at 50% capacity. For our venue, this means that we will have 100 guests. Safety Precautions:  More than 95% of our guests will be fully vaccinated, but this will be everyone's first big event, so we recommend continuing to wear masks and respect social distance. All tables will be spaced six feet apart, and most are located on an open-air deck, with a tented roof in case of inclement weather. We have a large outdoor space, and encourage you to engage at whatever distance feels right for you. If you would prefer to eat away from the crowd, you are welcome to take your plate away from your table to eat wherever you feel most comfortable. Dinner will be served by the catering staff buffet-style, so serving utensils will not be shared by guests. Hand sanitizer and extra masks will also be available to guests throughout the evening. Virtual Ceremony: We know that loved ones may be unable to attend, due to travel restrictions, medical conditions, or conflicting plans. We would love to have you attend via live stream. We will have a <a href="https://loveca.st/lauraandrobert" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">dedicated webpage</a> where you can watch the ceremony, and virtual guests will be able to chat via text on the website. You do not need to create an account or download an app to watch the ceremony, and the video will also be available to view after the event, if you are not able to attend in real time. <a href="https://loveca.st/lauraandrobert" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Click here and use the "RSVP" button in the top right corner to receive text/email notification when the stream goes live.</a> Vaccines and Testing:  We are pleased to share that nearly our entire guest list will be fully vaccinated.
