What apps do I need in China?

Please download and register for the apps before heading to China.

1. WeChat - payment, transit, chat. A group chat will be created soon.

2. Alipay - Payment, transit, please link a credit or debit card ahead of China.

3. PalantirVPN. This is a must to access apps like YouTube, IG, WhatsApp, et. I will register a few accounts so that 12 devices can use VPN while you are in China. Please down the app and I will give you the sign-in info.

How to access the internet in China?

If you have eSim compatible (unlocked) phone, visit https://esim.holafly.com/esim-asia/ or https://www.airalo.com/asia-esim/asialink-30days-5gb. VPN will still be needed.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

There isn't a strict dress code for the wedding. Guests should avoid wearing RED, and women should avoid wear WHITE as that color is reserved for the bride. A suit and tie are not required. Men can wear button-down shirts, and women can wear dresses. The weather is expected to be around 65-75 degrees.
