Saad and Laurel met in college, where they bonded over shared interests in philosophy, magic, human nature, and the search for meaning. They became very close friends, and by the end of the first semester agreed to be together (largely in an attempt to keep the other from being with anyone else). Laurel planned to never be in a long term relationship. Saad planned to eventually marry someone his parents would introduce him to. However, their friendship continued to grow into love and commitment, and they never got rid of each other.

They are excited to throw a wedding with all their friends and loved ones to celebrate their tenth anniversary!
