This fast Ferry leaves from Boston to Provincetown, so if you fly into Boston you can uber to the Ferry and it will take 1 1/2 hours to get to Provincetown. Or you can go by car and it will take 2-3 hours depending on traffic.

Welcome to Our Provincetown Wedding Weekend – September 20, 2025 We’re excited to celebrate our wedding in Provincetown, a cool little town at the tip of Cape Cod. September here means nice weather, fewer crowds, and plenty to see and do. Whether you’re into chilling by the ocean, exploring, or eating well, here’s a rundown of stuff to check out while you’re in town. Things to Do in Provincetown Stroll Commercial Street: Wander the heart of P-town—packed with eclectic shops, art galleries, and street performers. It’s the main vibe, perfect for people-watching or picking up a souvenir. Watch the Sunset at Herring Cove Beach: A calm beach with killer views of Cape Cod Bay. Bring a blanket or just kick back on the sand as the sun dips—September light makes it extra pretty. Go Whale Watching: Book a tour from MacMillan Pier (Dolphin Fleet’s a solid pick). September’s prime time for humpbacks, finbacks, and dolphins—boats head out into Stellwagen Bank, and you’ll get narration from naturalists. Bike the Province Lands Trails: Rent bikes from Provincetown Bike Rentals and hit the paved loops through dunes and woods in the Cape Cod National Seashore. It’s scenic, peaceful, and good exercise. Climb the Pilgrim Monument: A 252-foot tower with sweeping views of the harbor and beyond. The climb’s 116 steps, and the museum at the base has cool bits of local history. Take a Dune Tour: Art’s Dune Tours runs 4x4 rides through the National Seashore’s wild sandscapes. You’ll see shacks where artists like Eugene O’Neill crashed, plus unreal photo ops. Hit the Beach: Besides Herring Cove, Race Point Beach offers big waves and rugged beauty. Both are part of the National Seashore—great for a swim or a walk. Browse Art Galleries: Check out spots like Julie Heller Gallery or Rice Polak Gallery for local and contemporary works. P-town’s got a deep art scene tied to its history as an artist colony. Kayak: Laura will be bringing some extra kayaks and there are also ones to rent at the Wharf Where to Eat The Red Inn: Waterfront spot with killer views and upscale New England eats. Go for the lobster risotto or pan-seared cod—perfect for a fancier meal. Fanizzi’s by the Sea: Casual but awesome, right on the bay. Their crab cake Benedict at brunch or fried scallops for dinner are standouts. The Canteen: Laid-back with a backyard vibe. Famous for fish tacos and lobster rolls—grab a local beer and eat by the harbor. The Pointe at Crowne Pointe Inn: Elevated dining in a cozy inn setting. Their seafood chowder and blueberry pancakes are a brunch win, with great service. Provincetown Portuguese Bakery: A must for quick bites. Get the malasadas (Portuguese doughnuts) or cod cakes—cheap, delicious, and tied to P-town’s heritage. Spiritus Pizza: Late-night go-to on Commercial Street.
