The Murphys area is currently home to over two dozen family-owned and operated boutique wineries, all of which welcome visitors year-round for wine tasting and/or tours. Many of these wineries have tasting rooms right on Main St., within comfortable strolling distance of one another. Click the link for a map of tasting rooms in Murphys :)

If you'd like to skip out on wine tasting, there's also some amazing cave exploration opportunities just a few miles outside town!

Moaning Cavern holds the largest vertical chamber in a public cavern that you can see in California. In fact, it's so big, it could hold the entire Statue of Liberty!

They offer guided Walk Tours, which are suitable for the entire family, 165-foot rope Rappels into the cave, which are the most thrilling way to see the main chamber, and challenging 3-hour caving Adventure Trips beginning with the optional rappel. Experience Moaning Cavern's thrilling new above ground activity… the ZIP LINE! Also, now available, our custom built 32-ft tall Climbing Tower has easy to hard climbing routes and is suitable for the entire family!
