Ian & Lauren met August 2018 at Northern Michigan University's dining hall the 'Northern Lights Cafe'. Both new transfers they quickly became friends and officially started dating January 3rd, 2019.

The couple spent three years dating in Marquette, MI. before moving in together and graduating from Northern Michigan University, Class of 2021. They moved to Northeast Ohio, both began working, and Ian coached at John Carrol University while earning a master's degree.

Ian proposed at Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland on April 23rd, 2024. She said 'YES!' and the rest is history. This love story has been developing for six years, but the wait has been worth it. The happy couple are excited to get married August 2nd, 2025 and continue building a life together.

FUN FACTS:

-Their first date was a fall hike at Presque Isle along the shore of Lake Superior.

-Before saying the big 'L' word, they would say the words "I appreciate you" to one another.

-They said "I love you" for the first time after returning from the 2018 winter break. This relationship milestone also happens to be their anniversary January 3rd.

-Together they share a black cat named Momo.
