Our Wedding

Carter and I were lucky enough to meet each other during High School. Our friend groups overlapped and we soon became good friends. A few months down the road we both asked each other to our own high school senior proms. While Carter went to Camp Kieve for his first year, I stayed home preparing to go to my first year at the University of Kentucky. Carter had an amazing year at camp and started school at Western Kentucky University (where I soon transferred for my second year of college). Carter was kind enough to invite me to apply as a counselor for the next summer at Kieve. For the next few summers, we worked at this amazing place! After college, Carter and I decided to move to Colorado to try to a different state which is where we still currently live. We have learned to snowboard, go camping, and explore the nearby dog park and mountains. In August of 2021, We took a trip with Carter's family to Maine. On one of the first days, Carter brought me to Camden, Maine to explore the amphitheater and downtown area. As we hurried through, he soon brought me to an outlook that overlooks Curtis island which is a special place for Carter. This is where Carter rambled about childhood stories before popping the question. After some tears, the family comes walking down with my mom, too! The best surprise of all! Carter's got his future mother-in-law's heart forever now. In April 2023, we bought a house and moved to Spokane, Washington and with our two pups where I plan to start at Gonzaga Law School in May. Carter continues to work in software development and start many fun projects in his workshop at our new home. We both can't wait to explore the new ski/snowboarding resorts, hikes and more! After 8 years together, here we are now!

This complimentary group of cabins on Kieve’s campus is available on a first come first serve basis. These rustic cabins have a common sleeping area with bunk beds and shared bathrooms; perfect for catching up with friends. Some locations may have a minimum stay. A block of 14 rooms is reserved at Cod Cove Inn located in Edgecomb, Maine. It is approximately 20 minutes from Camp Kieve.
