Lauren and Chris first met in August 2016 at Iowa State University, living right across the hall from each other. After years of friendship, Lauren visited Chris in California in 2020, and they've been together ever since. Lauren was living in Wisconsin at the time but eventually made the big move to California in 2021. Since then, they have traveled to countless cities: Lake Havasu, Key West, Hawaii, Seattle, numerous cities in California and Wisconsin, New York City, and so many more. After living in California for three years, they made the bold move to Arlington, VA in the spring of 2024. Chris proposed May 25, 2024 at Chincoteague Island. Since then, they (as in Lauren) finally got a puppy, Lambeau Franklin Chewning.
