In September 2019, fate dealt a winning hand when Devon and Lauren crossed paths at a lively game night among friends and coworkers. Little did they know, the evening would spin their lives into a whirlwind of romance. Despite neither actively seeking love, sparks flew instantaneously. Their first date, mere days later, plunged them into the eerie delights of a haunted house in Sioux City, Iowa, where laughter and shared adrenaline sealed their destiny.

From that promising beginning, Lauren and Devon embarked on a journey that spanned 19 states, calling three of those home, and a pilgrimage to 10 breathtaking national parks. Their bond only grew stronger through the trials of a pandemic, navigating multiple relocations, and embracing career changes, each challenge cementing their commitment to one another.

Come March 2024, in a cozy cabin nestled in the heart of The Black Hills in Deadwood, South Dakota, surrounded by the warmth of their siblings, Devon knelt before Lauren with a proposal as perfect as she could imagine (admittedly, according to Lauren, the ring was nothing short of perfection!). With hearts full and spirits soaring, they excitedly count down the days to their upcoming wedding day.
