When should I make reservations by?
The sooner, the better! We are really looking forward to celebrating with all of you, and want to make sure it's as enjoyable of a weekend as possible. We chose a venue that has rooms available onsite & nearby, with varying price points for rooms (subject to availability), so we want our guests to be able to take advantage of all of those options!
Please see our Travel & Accommodations page for all the details
When should I arrive?
That is totally up to you, but we'd love for you to enjoy as much of the resort as possible!
We will be coordinating an optional Golf outing on Friday afternoon (cost still to be confirmed), and will be having welcome drinks for anyone that's around Friday evening.
The ceremony won't be until around 4pm on Saturday, if you're looking to come just for the ceremony.
Reach out with any questions, though!
When do we need to arrive for the ceremony?
We ask our guests to start arriving around 4:30. The ceremony will start promptly at 5pm.
Will there be food at the welcome drinks?
Yes, we are planning to have apps at the Welcome Drinks event, but it won’t be an entire meal. We suggest having dinner ahead of time.
What are the options for dinner on Friday night?
Take a look at our "Things to do" page where we've provided a list of places on-property and nearby to consider!
There will be snacks at the welcome drinks, but it won't be a full meal.
What are the meal options at the wedding?
The dinner will be made to order, so you don’t have to choose until you take your seat! As a preview, though, you’ll have your choice of the following main-course options:
1. Chicken
2. Steak
3. Fish
4. Vegetarian
Gluten free requests can be made when ordering
Activities
Does it matter which hotel I stay at?
Nope!
The Grand Cascade is the venue where all the events will be held, but Minerals is only a 5-10 minute drive away and we will be providing transportation between the two venues for the wedding.
We will also be coordinating a shuttle for anyone planning to attend the Welcome Drinks Friday evening
How do I RSVP?
We are doing digital RSVPs!
1. Select the "RSVP" tab at the top of this website
2. Enter the name of any guest in your party
3. Follow the prompts for RSVP'ing to the various events throughout the weekend
Reach out to Lauren or Alex directly with any questions or issues!
What are the details of the golf event?
We’ll be organizing an optional Scramble for any of our guests that are interested, starting Friday at 1pm.
The cost will be $130 per person.
You can indicate your interest when RSVP'ing to the wedding, and we will collect your email there to coordinate on payment and share final details.
Once we know who is intending to play, we'll create the 4-somes!
How do I get involved in Friday’s Golf event?
Please use our wedding RSVP to let us know you're interested in playing on Friday!
When you RSVP for the wedding, the golf event will be a question asked. You will then also be asked to provide an email that we can use for coordinating with you on the specifics!
Reach out to Lauren or Alex directly with any questions, though!
Can I golf on Saturday?
We won’t be arranging any coordinated golf events, but we encourage our golfing guests to make tee times on Saturday if you’re interested! You should have plenty of time ahead of the ceremony. Crystal Springs offers 6 different courses, so feel free to play 9 or 18 before the ceremony!
To make a tee time: https://www.crystalgolfresort.com/golf/reservations
Note: It’s fall at a golf resort, so we recommend giving them a call early if it’s something you’re interested in!
Which course should I play?
Crystal Springs had 6 courses, 4 18-hole and 2 9-hole. If you’re looking to stay on property at Grand Cascades, you could play Wild Turkey (if you didn’t play Friday or want to play it again) or Crystal Springs. Be warned: Crystal is one of the hardest courses in the country, but the 11th hole alone is worth it.
If you’re looking to venture off property, there is Black Bear, which is probably the easiest 18-hole course out of the 4, or Balleyowen, which is Crystal Spring’s premier course. It is a links course that is absolutely picturesque.
For 9 hole courses, both Grand Cascades and Minerals have a course on property that requires no travel.
Alex’s recommendation: Wild Turkey. If you played that on Friday, then try for Balleyowen on Saturday.
What else is there to do besides golf?
The resort offers a number of activities throughout the weekend that will be available to you as a guest. For example, there is usually an option to sign-up for 9:30am goat yoga at Minerals resort!
Each hotel has their own indoor pool that can always be an option, and if you're looking for more relaxation each hotel has an amazing spa (Reflections Spa @ Grand Cascade and Element Spa @ Minerals).

Packing
What is the dress code?
The Welcome Drinks on Friday will be casual: Some may be in khakis / button down and cocktail dresses, but you can also wear jeans if you prefer!
The Wedding attire is “Black-tie optional”: The bridal party will be in long gowns and tuxes, but suits are also acceptable!
The after-party is whatever you’d like: Wear your wedding attire, or stop by your room to change into something comfortable, but consider bringing a SWIMSUIT!
Will you provide a change of shoes at the reception?
You bet! For those that want to give their feet a break from heels, we will have flip flops available in a range of sizes
Why do I need to bring a swimsuit?
One of the highlights of this venue for us is that the after party is going to be held at the beautiful indoor pool! You will not be required to go swimming after the wedding, of course, but the bride and groom are planning to jump in!
Even if you don’t plan to swim at the afterparty, the indoor pools/hot tubs at both hotels are great and you may want to take a dip at some point throughout the weekend.
Do I need to bring my own towel?
No - the resort will provide towels at all of their pools. There will also be towels available at the after party!

Are kids invited?
We love all your little ones, but for the wedding we are trying to keep it adults-only, with the exception of immediate family. However the resort is very kids-friendly, so if you would like to bring them along for the weekend with a sitter for the wedding, the room options are very accommodating for that and plenty of kid-friendly activities available around the hotels! Ultimately, you should do whatever will allow you to enjoy yourselves the most!
As always, reach out with any questions!
