Chance and I met the summer before my freshman year, at a friend’s house. He and his mother were in the neighborhood to pick up his brother, and when his mom saw me, she immediately pointed me out to Chance, saying, “Look at that pretty girl.” A few weeks later, Chance reached out to me and asked me out on a date. At the time, I was young and not particularly interested in getting a boyfriend. When I mentioned it to my friend, she exclaimed, “Do you not know who that is? That is Chance Pride! You have to go on a date with him!”

Intrigued, I started talking to Chance, and we went on that date. From that moment on, I knew he was the one. Chance reminded me of Troy Bolton with his charming personality, fun spirit, and star basketball player status. Troy Bolton was my childhood crush and I always told myself I would date a guy with Troy Bolton hair.
As we grew older, Chance continually exceeded my expectations of what a boyfriend should be—kind, caring, and smart.

Chance and I have always been perfect for each other, constantly motivating one another to be the best versions of ourselves. I cannot imagine life without him. I am overjoyed that this day has finally come, and I feel incredibly blessed to marry such an amazing man.
