Our Wedding

How It All BeganEvery great love story starts somewhere — ours began in 7th grade. We were just kids with no idea where a hallway hand-hold would lead us. What started as a simple childhood crush grew into something truly meaningful. Over the years, we discovered shared passions — Jacob fell in love with Portuguese food, and Lauren learned just how fun tailgating a Giants game could be. We grew up side by side, learning to love each other through every phase of life: from high school football games and prom nights to navigating college and starting our careers. Through all the ups and downs, we’ve supported one another and built a bond that’s only grown stronger with time. The AdventuresOver the years, we've built a life full of laughter, light teasing, unforgettable getaways, countless ice cream dates, Sayulita margarita runs, quiet sunsets, and all the beautiful highs (and messy lows) that come with love. From laughing uncontrollably after one too many margaritas to the emotional depth of visiting Portugal with family, our journey has shaped us in all the best ways. The ProposalJacob proposed on September 3rd, 2024, in Marina Grande, Sorrento, Italy. It was perfect — not because everything went according to plan (I may have taken a bit too long getting ready, and yes, I wore heels for the long walk to the marina) — but because it was ours. We were about 30 minutes late for the photographer Jacob had arranged, but none of that mattered. The setting had everything we love: water, golden light, and the quiet magic of a sunset. As we stepped onto the dock overlooking the marina, it felt like the world paused — just the two of us, surrounded by the beauty of the coast. And then, in that perfect stillness, Jacob asked. Right after, the whole street came alive. People started cheering, someone shouted “Mamma Mia!”, bells rang in the distance (a sign of fulfilled wishes and good fortune in Capri), and a nearby restaurant even brought us champagne to celebrate. It couldn’t have been more magical. Now...We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with the people who mean the most to us. Thank you for being part of our story — we can’t wait to make more memories with you on our wedding day and beyond.
