Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place in the same location?
Yes, everything will be at the Haley Mansion including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
What time should I arrive?
Our Ceremony starts promptly at 5:30pm in the Garden at the Haley Mansion, so we ask that you arrive between 5:00-5:15pm. Please check the shuttle bus service schedule from the Holiday Inn for pick up and drop off times.
What is the attire?
Our wedding will be a formal affair. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a tuxedo, or suit and tie. Ladies can opt for a floor- or knee- length gown. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style!
Will the event be inside or outside?
Our ceremony will be in the shaded garden area (weather permitting). During cocktail hour you are free to remain in the garden, or roam the air conditioned Mansion. There will be a bar both inside and outside. The reception will take place indoors with air conditioning, but you are free to step outside whenever you would like. The grounds are all ours for the entire night, so feel free to explore the beautiful Estate!
Will there be an open bar?
Yes! One of our favorite things about the Haley Mansion is that drink service never closes. During dinner, each table will have a dedicated butler to bring drinks to and from your table—so you won’t have to get up and miss a moment. No need to grab last-minute drinks before cocktail hour ends. The drinks are on us… the hangover is on you.
Is there parking?
Yes the Haley Mansion has a large parking lot. However, the bar does not close, so we highly encourage all of our guests who are partaking in the beverage services to use shuttles or Ubers. Your car can be left over night if plans change...we care about your safety first!
Are children invited to the wedding?
While we adore children, we've opted for an adults-only affair, besides our ceremonial helpers who will be attending the ceremony. We hope you understand our decision and can arrange childcare for the evening.
What accommodations are available for out-of-town guests?
Please click on the travel tab above for links. We recommend The Drake Hotel for Thursday night so you are closer to the airport, and can meet us for a drink in the lobby after dinner. For Friday, we recommend you stay at the Holiday Inn or Candlewood Suites in Joliet. They are attached hotels and only 6 minutes from the venue.
Where will the wedding party be getting ready?
Our rehearsal dinner and getting ready location will be at the Drake in Oakbrook. We wanted to be conscious of the fact that this is on a Thursday night so we picked a more central location for our wedding party, families, and out of town guests. Anyone is welcome to stay here Thursday or Friday night! The Bride & Groom will be moving to the Holiday Inn on the day of the wedding to be closer to the venue on the night of.
