Lauren and Tim's love story started the way all great 21st century romances do...with a right swipe.

Lauren and Tim matched on Bumble in January of 2022. Tim had been on Bumble for less than two weeks. Lauren had been on Bumble for....slightly longer than two weeks.

Lauren is still annoyed about this to this day.

Lauren and Tim's first date was at Lolita, a Mexican restaurant in Boston's Seaport, on January 31st. The date was filled with lots of laughter and deep conversation. Before either of them knew it, the date had lasted more than 3 hours.

Tim asked Lauren on a second date the next weekend. They went to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum where they competed against each other in a scavenger hunt and then got to know each other better at a brewery. The date abruptly ended when Tim realized it had been 8 hours and he needed to take care of his dog, Bailey (Bailey says it was worth it in the end).

For their third date, Lauren and Tim went to Bar Mezzana, an Italian restaurant in Tim's neighborhood and then Tim kissed Lauren for the first time. He cryptically asked for her address the next day, and sent her roses for Valentines Day two days later.

From there, Lauren and Tim became inseparable. They quickly fell in love, and spent their first summer together splitting time between Tim's apartment in the city and Lauren's apartment at the beach. By the fall, Lauren moved into Tim's apartment and also became a dog mom.

In January 2024, Tim and Lauren went on vacation to Maui. Early the second morning of the trip, Tim convinced Lauren to go for a walk on the beach (because the ring was burning a hole in his pocket), and that is where he proposed.
