Lauren & Eric met the modern way: by swiping right on Bumble in June 2016. Lauren just completed her bachelor's degree at VCU and Eric was a first-year law student at U of R. With no mutual friends at the time, these two ran in completely different circles and thank modern technology for bringing them together. Their first dates included dinner & dessert in Carytown, a movie at the local drive-in, and a homecooked meal (coconut shrimp, made by Eric). Eric is definitely the chef in the relationship and Lauren enjoys the title of "official taste-tester."

A few of Lauren & Eric's favorite memories from their time together so far: Trips to the Poconos, Lauren's first visit to Eric's hometown (Annapolis), the day they adopted Ellie (the bestest dog ever), and most recently their engagement in Disney.

Eric had originally planned to propose to Lauren during their Alaskan Cruise in 2020, but COVID had other plans. The next best proposal option was Disney of course! From getting engaged in front of Cinderella's Castle (swoon!) to getting the ring stuck on the wrong finger and having the Disney fire department cut it off (less swoon!), it was certainly a proposal that will never be forgotten. A fairytale proposal with an unexpected twist for sure, and they wouldn't have had it any other way.

Lauren & Eric look forward to the future and all the new memories to come. They're so excited for their friends and family to join them as they say "I do" at their wedding in October 2022.
