Lauren and Daniel initially met in the Financial Management Club at Cal State Long Beach in 2017. Daniel had transferred to CSULB from community college and his cousin’s advice was to find the prettiest girl in the room and sit next to her, as then he would be bound to talk to her. Daniel laid eyes on Lauren and took the open seat next to her. From there, they hit it off as good friends and began to study together frequently as they found out they had several of the same classes.

As time went on, Lauren and Daniel went their separate ways as they had different classes and were busy in different clubs. Daniel’s friends would tease him that he liked Lauren, and although that was true, he did not want to ruin the close friendship they had built.

While Lauren was on a post graduation trip with her dear friend Nichole, Daniel reached out on Instagram commenting on how it had been a while since they last spoke, how beautiful the trip looked, and asking whether Lauren would like to go out for brunch when she returned home. Lauren practically dropped her phone she was so excited to hear from Daniel and upon telling Nichole the news, the girls began jumping up and down with excitement in their hotel room in Rome.

Lauren and Daniel met for brunch at The Federal Bar in Long Beach in the middle of June of 2019. The two of them had a lovely afternoon catching up and sharing stories and by the end of it, Daniel told Lauren that he would really like to take her out on a proper date sometime. From there Lauren and Daniel began dating.

In November of 2019, Daniel told Lauren he loved her and asked her to be his girlfriend officially with a book he had written just for her. Lauren of course said she loved him back and excitedly agreed to be his girlfriend officially.

A few years later, on August 1st 2023 - which happened to be national girlfriends day and a full moon- Daniel and Lauren went to dinner at a beautiful farm to table restaurant in Cabo, Mexico called El Huerto. After sharing dessert, a waiter came up to the table holding a beautiful glass dome filled with smoke and surrounded with fresh colorful flowers. Daniel removed the dome and as the smoke cleared, there appeared a gorgeous sparkly engagement ring. Daniel got down on one knee and asked Lauren if she would marry him. Lauren ecstatically said YES and pulled him in for a kiss.

Now Lauren and Daniel will be getting “Queen Married” in May of 2025 and are so excited to celebrate their love with all of their loved ones.
