We first met in October 2023 at a Cowboy Catholics retreat at McNeese State University. Both of us were serving as staff members that weekend, and by a beautiful twist of fate, we were chosen to play the bride and groom in the Wedding at Cana reenactment. Little did we know how symbolic that moment would become.

Throughout the retreat, we were immersed in prayer and service, growing closer to God — and to each other. After a few dates filled with laughter, deep conversation, and grace, we officially began dating on November 27, 2023.

Just a couple of months later, we attended SEEK 2024, a Catholic college conference in St. Louis, Missouri. One of the most profound moments of our relationship happened there, during Eucharistic Adoration. In the stillness and peace of that time with Jesus, we both felt a quiet, confident certainty: this was the person God had set apart for us.

After a year and five months of growing together in faith, friendship, and love, we got engaged on May 2, 2025. We’re so excited to continue saying “yes” to each other — and to God — as we prepare for a lifetime together.
