What is the attire?

We’d love for our guests to dress up and celebrate with us in formal attire! Think suits, tuxedos, long dresses, or dressy separates. We kindly ask that you avoid wearing white, ivory, or cream so the bride can have her special moment.

Can I bring a guest or my kids?

Due to space limitations, we can only accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. Infants who can sit on a parent’s lap are welcome. Thank you for understanding—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Will all events take place at the same location?

Yes, our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place at the Timsmith in Madison, WI.

When can I arrive for the ceremony?

Guests may start arriving at 3:40 pm. The ceremony starts at 4 pm.

Is there parking at the venue?

There is street parking available surrounding the Tinsmith as well as a City of Madison Parking Garage on the corner of Main Street and S Livingston Street. The average rate is $1.20 cents per hour with a max of $8.00, and overnight parking is available. Handicap spots are available in this lot, on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is also a public parking garage on the corner of Main Street and Paterson. There is a local event nearby on Saturday evening that will affect parking availability and price

Where should I be dropped off if I am not driving?

Shuttles and ride shares can be dropped off at the front entrance of The Tinsmith in the loading zone. Guests with mobility issues or those that would prefer not to walk from the parking garage / hotel can also be dropped off in the loading zone. Please note that all vehicles must be moved from the loading zone after guests have been escorted inside.

What will the weather be like?

January in Madison can be chilly, with temperatures averaging between 27–11°F. We will have coat racks available at the venue. Don’t worry—everything will be indoors, so you’ll stay nice and toasty!

I have a dietary restriction/food allergy, can you accommodate this?

Yes! When you rsvp, please indicate any restrictions/allergies and we will pass this on to our caterer.

Can I bring my own alcohol to the wedding?

Please don’t bring outside alcohol—our venue’s license requires that all drinks be served by their staff. To keep everyone safe (and avoid fines!), any outside alcohol will be taken away. Don’t worry, we’ll have plenty of great options at the bar for you to enjoy!

What time does the celebration end?

The reception will wrap up around 11 pm, but we hope you’ll join us for the after-party at Vintage Brewing!
