Austin and Lauren went to high school together. Lauren was a freshman and Austin was a senior. They crossed paths a year or two after Lauren started high school as they both started working at a Spring Grove pizza restaurant. In time, working at Tammy’s Pizza, Austin took Lauren out a couple times. Once to haunted house and another time to his house. Nothing came of it at the time and years went by; Lauren went away to college and Austin stayed in Spring Grove. When Lauren would come home from college they would always run into each other as they had mutual friends. Each of them truly never forgot about one another regardless of living in different places. Flash forward to summer of 2021 Lauren was a bridesmaid in her dear friend Jillian’s wedding. Jillian granted Lauren a plus-one even though Lauren wasn’t dating anyone at the time. Lauren thought of asking Austin to the wedding. Austin up until hours before the wedding decided to attend. He drove over four hours to be Lauren’s date. They had a great time and danced the night away. They thank Jillian and Brennan because they truly don’t know where they’d  be without their gracious gesture of giving Lauren a plus-one. Austin then took Lauren and a couple friends to a Bears game. Lauren was living in Chicago at the time and even still almost backed out last minute. Shortly after that date Lauren moved back to Spring Grove while being in between travel nurse assignments. Lauren’s dream was to work in Florida (HER happy place). They decided to make it official right before Lauren left for Florida. Long distance was tough for a while but luckily Austin is off work for the winters and came to visit a bunch. They enjoyed being young snow birds for the first two winters together. Tampa then became OUR happy place. Lauren and Austin moved in together officially fall of 2022 in Twin Lakes. Time had passed and Lauren found a position close to home that she loves. Austin continued working at Thelen. The Florida winters came and went. They enjoy being closer to family and friends. A year passes and Austin FINALLY popped the question in April. Austin then surprised Lauren the next day with an engagement party with all their closest family and friends.
