Our Wedding

When Lauren and Jacob began working their first jobs at the local DQ in 2016, they never expected to find love! After a little over a year of mixing up sweet treats, late nights hanging out after work, and many drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Jacob’s truck, Lauren and Jacob decided to take their friendship to the next level. Another year later, the two went off to different universities. Despite the distance, they stayed close, talking every day after class and visiting each other on occasional weekends to keep their love alive. In 2020, Lauren graduated from JMU and then moved to northern Virginia to be with Jacob (and to get her doctorate in physical therapy!) After three more years of supporting each other through their studies, it was finally time to graduate. Jacob proposed on Lauren’s graduation day, and Lauren said “yes”! Now, after over seven years of dating, they've celebrated many good times together and supported each other through the tough times. They are confident that their love will last a lifetime and wouldn’t want to spend that lifetime with anyone else by their side. Lauren and Jacob are beyond excited to begin this new adventure of marriage together. They are very grateful for all the family and friends who will be present on their special day!
