Our Wedding

Lauren and Justin met in the summer of 2022 not long after the passing of Justin’s beloved late wife Kimberly. In a way, Kimberly led them to each other as she and Lauren had been running in similar circles. After this loss, Justin began to attend community events where he was eventually introduced to Lauren through their dear friend Chrissy. In a completely uncharacteristic move, Justin took the initiative to invite himself out to lunch with Lauren and the girls. It was at that lunch Lauren would say, “Justin you need us.” After cultivating a friendship over months of getting to know each other, Lauren and Justin officially became a “them” on 9/20/2022. The couple became engaged 2 years later on their second anniversary at Disney Springs. After having her build a glass slipper, Justin got down on one knee and promised to be her Prince Charming for the rest of their lives. The happy couple looks forward to the next chapter of their love story when they will become husband and wife on their third anniversary.

Bakers Ranch is a beautiful property and there will be a lot of outdoor photo opportunities for selfies, group photos, and magical shots. We want our guests to enjoy their time at the wedding and would encourage guests to explore the lush, green outdoor spaces outside of the reception hall after the ceremony.

Tampa International Airport (TPA) is the closest MAJOR airport to the wedding venue. Tampa International Airport won two awards in the 2024 USA Today 10 Best Readers’ Choice poll, one of which was best large airport. “Tampa International Airport provides quick access to some of the finest vacation destinations across Florida’s Gulf Coast,” USA Today wrote. “Visitors can take advantage of the many bars, restaurants, and souvenir shops scattered across its terminals.” Information for Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) and St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport (PIE), which are both closer to Bakers Ranch than TPA, can be found below.

Tampa International Airport (TPA)

The Hampton Inn Ellenton/Bradenton is located immediately adjacent to the Ellenton Outlets and is a short 16 minute drive East along Highway 301 to Bakers Ranch, the wedding/reception venue. The hotel is also located less than a minute from Woody's River Roo, the location for the Welcome Dinner, which is just to the South of the hotel on the other side of Highway 301. For more information regarding the Welcome Dinner, please visit the home page. The hotel does have an outdoor pool, fitness center, free hot breakfast, on-site restaurant, free parking and free WiFi. Guests traveling from out of town can book accommodations with the hotel via the Fiata &amp; Hinton Wedding Room Block that has been secured through Hampton Inn Ellenton/Bradenton using one of two methods, online or by phone, to reserve rooms. There are tons of Things to Do in this tropical paradise that we call home. The locations listed below are a broad range of activities that cater to both children and adults. We have listed these activities in order from closest to the wedding venue (top of the list) to furthest from the venue (bottom of the list) but traffic in Florida is notoriously unpredictable so please check travel times before departing to any of the destinations below. Additionally, there are a couple of adult oriented activities on this list but we have noted those clearly. Lastly, Lauren and Justin hope that you and your family enjoy your time in Florida. We would LOVE to see pictures of all of your adventures while visiting the Sunshine State!

This is the closest Outlet Mall to the wedding venue. The Hampton Inn Ellenton/Bradenton (the hotel with rooms blocked out for the wedding) is located immediately adjacent to the Ellenton Premium Outlets. Please visit the "Travel" section of the website for instructions on how to book rooms at the Hampton Inn Ellenton/Bradenton.

Founded in 1982, the Florida Railroad Museum's mission is to acquire, preserve and operate historic examples of Florida's railroad history. The museum's Ticket Office and Gift Shop is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Diesel train excursions operate on Saturdays and Sundays only. Their operating train equipment is not available for viewing during the week. Be sure to check their website before your visit for current train schedules.

One of Lauren and Justin's regular haunts, Corporate Ladder Brewing typically has a GREAT selection of Gluten-Free (GF) Smoothie Beer. Their smoothie beers taste less like beer and more like a dessert smoothie with a healthy kick of alcohol! This is a brewery and may not be suitable for children.

As the largest natural and cultural history museum on Florida's Gulf Coast, The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature offers engaging exhibits as well as educational programs that interpret the scientific and cultural knowledge of Florida, the world, and our universe. In addition to permanent exhibits, the Museum features a constantly changing lineup of temporary exhibitions -- offering something new to discover with each visit. The Museum includes the all-digital Planetarium and the Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat. The Planetarium is the Gulf Coast's premier astronomy education facility, outfitted with a state-of-the-art projection system with stunning multimedia capabilities. The Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat is a Stage 2 Facility, where manatees that have been injured or orphaned are rehabilitated for return to the wild as part of the Manatee Rehabilitation and Release Partnership. The Museum has housed 47 rehabilitating manatees since 1988.

The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature

This is the closest shopping mall from the wedding venue. The Mall at University Town Center is the premiere shopping and dining destination in Southwest Florida. The Mall at UTC features world-class shopping that includes Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, Dillard’s, Free People, Lily Pulitzer, Lululemon, Hollister, Anthropologie, and more than 140 retailers. You can also enjoy distinctive dining options such as The Cheesecake Factory, Season’s 52, The Capital Grille, Brio Tuscan Grille and many more! The diverse mix of fashion shops, delicious offerings and family friendly amenities are perfectly accented by the Floridian inspired architecture and LED barrel vaulted ceilings, which make The Mall at UTC the most enjoyable shopping destination in Sarasota.

University Town Center

The Ringling preserves the legacy of John and Mable Ringling. It is home to the State Art Museum of Florida, the historic Ca' d'Zan Mansion, Bayfront Gardens, the Art Library, two Circus Museums, and the Historic Asolo Theater. The grounds and gardens are free to visit, and the Museum of Art offers free admission on Mondays.

This is Justin's favorite local rum. Siesta Key Rum is a small, local rum distiller tucked away in a Sarasota industrial park. They offer rum tastings and a tour to explain the rum making process. Be sure to check their website before your visit for tour schedules. This is a distillery and is not suitable for children.&nbsp;

An Old Florida attraction since 1939, Sarasota Jungle Gardens allows visitors to experience things you won't find anywhere else. Feed free-roaming flamingos, catch lemurs at play, have your picture taken with an alligator and see the beautiful gardens.

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is a 15-acre Downtown Sarasota bayfront sanctuary connecting people with air plants of the world, native nature, and our regional history. Established by forward thinking women of their time, Selby Gardens on Sarasota Bay is the only botanical garden in the world dedicated to the display and study of epiphytic orchids, bromeliads, gesneriads and ferns, and other tropical plants. There is a significant focus on botany, horticulture, education, historical preservation, and the environment. Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is a Smithsonian Affiliate and is also accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.

This outdoor mall with a coastal view is a high end retail and entertainment district home to over 130 shops, restaurants and galleries. St. Armand's Circle is built on an island in Sarasota Bay adjacent to Lido Key. Its circular shape and layout is inspired by its designer John Ringling, who is famous for shaping the modern day circus—you can learn more about it through day tours around Sarasota. The shops surround a charming green park in the center—a perfect place to relax in between a full day of shopping and dining.

The Sunken Gardens are 4 acres of well-established botanical gardens containing a lush, tropical oasis home to more than 50,000 exotic tropical plants and birds from around the world, including its iconic flamingo flock. The Gardens, St. Pete’s oldest living museum, have existed for more than a century and are one of the oldest roadside tourist attractions in the United States.

Sunken Gardens

Whether you are sitting on the beach or kayaking near the still water’s edge at Fort De Soto, you find yourself absorbed in the abundance of natural beauty as far as the eye can see. The complexity of the ecology is not immediately apparent, but the park offers the greatest diversity of systems just about anywhere. Emerging from the wealth of bird life, sea life, wildlife and plant life is the majestic tapestry called Fort De Soto. The largest park within the Pinellas County Park System, Fort De Soto park consists of 1,136 acres made up of five interconnected islands (keys). These keys are home to beach plants, mangroves, wetlands, palm hammocks, hardwoods and scores of native plants. Each of these species plays a vital role in the preservation and protection of the natural environment. Another amazing example of the importance of the park’s natural ecosystems is the more than 328 species of birds&nbsp;that ornithologists have documents over a 60-year span. New species are added every year. The beach also provides refuge to the loggerhead sea turtle, which nests between April and September.

Hyde Park Village

This riverwalk is a scenic 2.6-mile-long path along the Hillsborough River where you can discover some of downtown Tampa’s must-sees. Enjoy a leisurely stroll and you'll pass by the Tampa Museum of Art, the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park—perfect for a picnic overlooking the Tampa skyline—and finally the Tampa Bay History Center. You can also bike or take a scooter down the riverwalk. If you need a rest, there's no shortage of rest stops along the way to watch the water taxis sail by. You might even be inspired to take a boat tour on the river yourself! There are also plenty of restaurants and bars for food and drinks with a view.

Glazer Children's Museum

The Tampa Theatre is a historic U.S. theater and city landmark in Downtown Tampa, Florida. Designed as an atmospheric theatre-style movie palace by architect John Eberson, it opened on October 15, 1926 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The theatre features a wide range of independent, foreign, and documentary films and still plays its Wurlitzer organ before shows.

Sparkman Wharf

The Florida Aquarium is an educational and fun-filled wonderland, home to thousands of animals and plants.
