The Girls

Lindsay McCulloh
Lindsay McCulloh - Matron of Honor
Lindsay is Lauren's older sister. Lindsay first remembers meeting Lauren on November 8, 1991. She was so excited to be a big sister! The newness didn't wear off until she started babysitting Lauren during the summer vacations from school. :) Fast Forward, Lauren spent her spring breaks in college visiting her sister and brother-in-law, Chris, in Iowa. It helped the two become closer and the best friends they are today. Chris jokes about how the two have conversations about nothing over the phone, multiple times a week. That's what sisters do :)

Not having gone to the middle school most kids went to in our area, the first day of freshmen year of high school, I didn't know most of the people who were in her classes. When it came to gym class, the teacher had everyone sit on the floor in alphabetical order. But even knowing that, there was a guy who was convinced Lauren and I were twins just sitting in different spots for fun to trick everyone. Turns out, he's the reason I met one of my best friends! Since that day, it didn't matter if we went to different states for college, traveled to different countries for work, or live 17 miles from each other, Lauren and I always keep in touch. So the day I started to hear about a guy named Jeff, I knew it was something serious. I'm so happy Lauren & Jeff found each other and cannot wait to celebrate their love!

I first met Lauren in our 6th grade Science class. I was overwhelmed by the transition to middle school and she made it easier. Lauren has an incredible smile and natural warmth about her. I’m sure many people share this same first impression. Lauren helped me learn how to drive and has always been a great supporter of mine. We’ve shared many fun times, and I even was at her first date with Jeff. Despite being from different houses, Lauren and I share the love of Harry Potter. We both have wands and now clean up at trivia nights at local bars. In fact it was HP trivia that I first met Jeff and from the get go I knew he had eyes for only Lauren. Lauren and Jeff are a great couple, who along with Ripken, have many wonderful days ahead, and I’m privileged to share this special day with them both.

Lauren and I have been friends for 10 years; my earliest memory was locking eyes with Lauren underneath fake glasses they each wore at the Harry Potter Midnight Premiere. After that night, we were the best of buds. Perhaps it was our shared love of Charmed, or the fact that we could communicate in only Friends references or Gilmore Girls quotes, but Lauren and I went together like peas and carrots. From college pint nights at Pazzo's (RIP) to grown up dates in DC and Raleigh, some of my best memories happened with Lauren by my side. Now I'm beyond excited to stand beside Lauren on her big day!

Lauren and mine’s friendship.. Where does it begin? Well almost 10 years ago to be exact. (Which looking back is crazy to believe) To be more specific the friendship started in an English class. Not at first though she was the only other DZ in this class and she didn’t sit by me. So of course I thought she hated me. I soon found out that could not be further from the truth. Our friendship developed over tailgates, Tin Roof nights and drunken mad mush dates. It didn’t stop there. We continued the madness as we became roommates our senior year. Lauren has not only been a best friend to me but also someone I would consider family. You can also ask the Jones clan to confirm. To have a friend like Lauren is something I cherish and I am honored to get the opportunity to stand by her on her special day!

A few years ago, our dad and I decided to surprise Jeff for his 30th birthday by flying me home for his birthday dinner. As always, Jeff was on to them. He knew something was going on but didn’t know what! He was so nervous their dad was going to throw him a birthday party but not know who to invite (Ye of little faith!) Jeff texted me and said “I know Dad is on to something. Just make sure he texts Lauren. She will take care of it”. He shared Lauren’s phone number. I thought, “Who is this omniscient Lauren that my brother trusts above all others?” but all I responded was “ lol, ok. Cool.” And texted Lauren for her help. From that first text exchange I could tell Lauren didn’t just know Jeff well, she really understood him. It made me feel so happy and warm to know her brother had someone like that in his life. I could tell from their texts, Lauren was loving, kind, smart, and capable! She was not easily fazed. Lauren and I had a great time scheming behind Jeff’s back, and pulled off a good birthday surprise (if I do say so myself!) It really set a precedent for many schemes to come. When I met Lauren, I felt like I was meeting a friend I had known for awhile. By the time I got back to New York, Jeff texted her that he and Lauren were “official”. All I texted back was “lol, duh. That’s cool." But I kept my fingers crossed because I felt like I had met my future sister-in-law.

The Guys

Chip Hardie
Chip Hardie - Best Man
One of my earliest memories of meeting Jeff was in 1997 at the Naval Academy’s Summer basketball camp (more like bootcamp) where we spent more time doing push-ups and flutter kicks than layups and free throws. As I stood in the balcony of Dahlgren Hall on Day 1 nervously waiting to start and wondering what I had gotten himself into, a kid with a big smile on his face introduced himself and excitedly told me they were on the same team. I knew then that I had a new friend for the week. What I didn’t know then was just how strong that friendship would become in the years ahead. From early morning tee times at Bay Hills to late nights in DTA, Jeff and I haven’t missed a step despite living hundreds of miles away from each other for the last 15 years. I'm incredibly honored to stand by Jeff’s side on May 1st, 2021.

Jeff is one of my closest childhood friends. We met playing junior golf at Bay Hills Golf Club and we were also baseball and basketball teammates growing up. Jeff and I continue to hang out to this day whether it’s a concert, O’s game, or a cookout.
Michael Burke

I first met Jeff at the Naval Academy Golf Club back in 2007. I was new to the area and didn't know a single person in town. Jeff took me in and immediately made me a part of the Navy Golf family. Come to find out we share many of the same interests including golf, wiffle ball, and fantasy football! Jeff has a big heart, is a great listener, and is truly one of my best friends. I can't wait to share many more memories with Jeff and Lauren for years to come!

The Flower Girls

Morgan McCulloh
Morgan McCulloh - Flower Girl
Morgan is Lindsay's oldest daughter; at 4 years old she's fiesty and caring. She's inquisitive and loving. She keeps up with Calvin and loves teaching Hailey new things! Lauren and Jeff can't wait to see how Morgan shines in her roll as flower girl.
Hailey McCulloh
Hailey McCulloh - Flower Girl
Hailey is the youngest of the three McCulloh kids, but that certainly doesn't slow her down. This little girl knows no fear and will be right next to Calvin on the dance floor.

The Ring Bearer

Calvin McCulloh
Calvin McCulloh - Ring Bearer
Calvin is Lindsay's oldest, and only boy. Calvin loves being a big brother, catching toads, teasing his little sisters, and driving his gator around the farm. Be careful, Calvin will definitely be caught on the dance floor stealing the show!
